gemini_sage said:That bearded iris grouping is gorgeous, I keep going back to it. And the Iris with magenta standards and peach falls is really unusual and beautiful! Does that one look familiar to any of you?

I'm wondering if it could be this one
I was looking at Atkins Salmon Creek Gardens and saw this one. Carl also has one in the database that looks like the one in the photo also.

Edit to say: Nope not it. But I like it just as much.

Leslie, the 9th picture is all Siberians. We were just a touch early for the Japanese. Here's the full size file of the picture.

Neil, most of the TB irises in the garden came from Cooleys if that is any help finding a name. You might check one of their old catalogs.

I was looking at photo 40. It looks to me to be I. chrysographes. Any thoughts, anyone?

Neil, here's a closeup of the iris in question.

A little grainy, but you can see the beard.

I should have thought of that Carl since you said you were also at Mt. Pleasant before they bloomed (note to self - really need to go see Chad's in bloom). So beautiful Sibs then, the setting is still amazing. !!

The colors on Kaibab are the reverse of the colors on the mystery Iris. Any reason why you can't send the photo to the Oregon Gardens and ask them if they know the identity?

I dug out my last Cooley's Catalog the one that looks like a possible match is one called Bold Expression.

I didn't even notice the colors are reversed, that's odd for me!
