Batman (have an extra one)
Rare Coin (struggling)
Bewilderbeast (struggling)
Yuppy Puppy
Shaman's Magic
One potted NoID

There are more that are struggling, but it's too soon to tell. All the leaves are turning yellow and drying up. There are some rhizomes that are shriveling up. There are some where fans had fallen over on them and they were turning brown. The rhizomes were not soft, or mushy...but once again they were spongy. I don't know what is going on! Sad

Sad when you do all the right things and they seem to just give up the ghost for no reason. Those are some nice ones, too.

I lost Brad's Jazz Era to crown rot. I swear Keppel iris are tricky here. They either rot or do extremely well. Jazz Era was small so I couldn't save it. Sighing!

What is the soil where all these rhizomes are rotting? Is it bought? Raised beds?

Re-tweaking the soil before replanting might be wise. A lady on Facebook uses Serenade with excellent results. I might look into copper sulfate.
Don't make fear based decisions.

It was brand new garden mix with mushroom compost, same as all were planted in last year. But I have had the same issue in potting mix, garden soil, etc. The Keppels that have rotted have never been in a reused soil. And none of the surrounding iris have ever been affected.

Leslie -- I've lost a couple of Brad's rhizomes out there too -- planted in *ordinary* soil. In this case, ordinary soil is a mix of field soil and aged horse manure compost.
Most of the Irises planted there -- 99% -- are doing great. It's just gonna happen that some don't make the transition well -- and this has been a very tough year on Irises.

I'm not giving up on the two varieties that look *lost* -- the rhizomes are still firm -- I'm gonna give them time. Shrug!
