I agree Thumbs up

Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of days and I've got to catch up!
Did you spray the pots with that gray speckle spray? I like that birdbath!

Yes, it's the "faux stone look" spray paint - I love that stuff! I found some in the clearance aisle at Michael's last fall and stocked up! Thumbs up

Charleen your mosaic pieces are wonderful! Lovey dubby

Rolling on the floor laughing I see that "look" often too! It's usually accompanied by steam coming out of his ears! Blinking

Does the faux stone paint come in other colors besides gray? Gotta remember to look for some on sale or clearance too. Headed to Lowe's today so guess I'll start there. Hope I don't come back home totally broke! Blinking

The stone spray paint does come in more than one color. Smiling My boss used it to recover the metal restroom stall partitions at our last building. Looked great, especially with granite counters (he found on clearance, of course. LOL)

This is giving me an idea for an old concrete block retaining wall I have. Apparently the faux stone can be used outdoors and keeps its integrity fairly well?

Sorry Tee, I knew I had seen this question somewhere but forgot to come back and answer you! *Blush* I'm upset because the faux stone paint price has gone up - almost $10 now!! Grumbling I'm pretty sure Walmart's prices are a little cheaper but they don't have as many colors. I've used a number of different brands (Krylon, etc.) and have pretty good luck with them keeping their "integrity" as long as you use a good primer first. I've used the paint on plastic pots but found unless the pot has a textured finish, or you use a sanding primer which gives a rough base, after 3-4 years the faux stone paint will start to peel. I painted quite a few plastic containers about 5-6 years ago. Those with the smooth finish have a few 'bad' spots but those that had a texture in the plastic look good as new! Thumbs up

I was thinking about the dragonfly lovers and took a few photos of some more "art in my garden" yesterday.

This was a Christmas gift from DH a couple of years ago. Lovey dubby

So all of the dragonflies are in the front borders and figured I'd grab a few more pics of the other "objects" while I was out there with the camera.

This guy is lurking along the border. He keeps sinking in the soil though and is hard to see!

I brought these 'brothers' with me - purchased in Maine years ago. The first one is small and he hasn't found a good home yet - I keep moving him! Rolling my eyes.

Chris, what else? Concrete! Lovey dubby I had seen this piece on numerous sites over the years but the shipping was killer. Thumbs down I happened to see it on the Glasshouse Works website once when I was looking for a plant. Same price as the other sites but they only charged me $10.00 for shipping!!!! Thumbs up I think the darned thing weighs about 30 lbs.? Blinking

Thanks for the answer, Debbie.

Someone painted this ceramic dragonfly for me. It looks somewhat similar to yours.

Thanks, Vicki and Chris. Now that I've enlarged her photo, maybe it doesn't look so much like that after all. I think hers might be metal?

One thing I like so much about Debbie's VA gardens up there is they have so much of the verdigris look. I love verdigris!!

Love all the new garden art you posted Debbie and Tee.

Dragon flies are amazing! I had a metal one but it broke off and I wonder where I put it? Whistling

Tee, my dragonfly is metal but I love yours too and planted right next to some of my favorite plants - Euphorbias! Lovey dubby

So now that you've mentioned the "verdigris" look, does anyone have any tips to create a "faux" verdigris paint job? I know I've got a link saved somewhere but thought I'd ask here before I start searching. Whistling

I'm starting a Euphorbia bed right there. I luv them too. Lovey dubby

I had instructions for creating verdigris finishes but I'm not sure where mine is either. I'll check.

This has more steps than I do when I paint the faux verdigris but it's a good visual for you.
