Carey! You found us! I made you a mosaic with M&Ms! It's gorgeous. Bit of an odor, but...

Becky, never accept M&Ms from this woman (Carey). She claims to find them in her garden.

I tip my hat to you. Thanks for the greetings!

And thank you so much Sandi. I'm sure I have plenty more of those m&ms. Turns out deer like potato chips as much as the squirrels! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Big Grin

Debbie, love the gazebo, what a great idea! Lots of wonderful ideas here although I'm not sure I'll be making any M&M mosaics soon! I agree with Vicki, I'd be eating them faster than I could get them glued! Hilarious!

goldfinch4 said:Debbie, your creativity never ends. You've sure made some beautiful art pieces. With your talent for turning things into treasures, I think you should start a shop!

You're not the only one. *Blush* My mother-in-law has been encouraging me to sell some of the things I've made. Last spring she insisted that I let her help and sell them at our Open House. I told her NO WAY, these are for MY garden! Blinking My friend says I have to STOP making things for MY gardens and get busy making them to sell. I guess when I run out of room for whimsy here I might consider making a few to sell. Whistling

I've got to see if I can find a few more photos of objects in the garden. I've been pretty good about taking photos over the years but it's a bit of a problem actually finding them. Rolling my eyes.

Edited my first post because at first glance the thread didn't even show "art"! Smiling

I found a few more photos of 'objects' this morning. Hurray! This is my most recent addition to the gardens. Another "Stone Spirit" - remember the little one under the deck? Every year Sandie exhibits at one of the shows we attend and I'm always hoping to come home with another piece to add to the gardens - the photos on her site don't do justice to her work, it's magnificent! http://www.windsweptcreations.... I don't have a picture of this one in my gardens yet but I'm sure Sandie wouldn't mind me borrowing her photo. There was something about him that looked like an old sea captain and all weekend we tossed around some ideas to give him a name. Let me introduce you to..."Sebastian". Big Grin

I had these stone birds in another area I had just finished planting last year. By mid summer though they were getting lost among the Hosta foliage.
Thumb of 2011-08-02/rcn48/b5ea87
This spring I started reclaiming a bog area in front of our gazebo and thought they'd look much better here with the new plantings.

Thumb of 2011-08-02/rcn48/a823ed
I also added a lizard to the front of the gazebo but I'm realizing I've got another art object getting "lost". Thumbs down From a distance it's really tough to see him so another project might be added to the winter "to do list". I think he either needs a new paint job or some wild mosaics!

Thumb of 2011-08-02/rcn48/a9655a

And here's one more for this morning - a birdbath my daughter bought me for Christmas a few years ago. Lovey dubby It's another one for the "to do list" though, the bronze color has really faded so it will get a fresh coat of paint this winter.

Pretty, Debbie.

The lizard would love a bright color of paint or mosaics...something fun to set him apart!

Winter projects for you all (I was just telling Sharon this) are our summer projects! Our winters are mild and beautiful and we are outside a lot!

Your gardens are really nice Debbie! I Love the Lizard ... he would look great in mosaics and I love the rusty birdbath ... what color are you going to paint it?

Oh yes ... PLEASE tell us where we can get an ATP shirt!
