Went outside and got the stats on this seedling in case it isn't blooming in a week.

Thumb of 2015-07-14/Hemlady/f25fcf

Height is 38"
Branchin 3-way
Bud count 20
Flower size, if you stretch the petals out is 6"
No fragrance
Blooms early to mid season, dormant diploid

Pollen is good but I have not as yet set a pod on it which is odd because both Galaxy Explosion and Rebekah's Gothic Spider are very fertile.

Glass Bead Game X Heavenly Pink Fang looks like a winner. I hope that one does well for you. That Polston seedling looks exactly like Rosy Rhino. I've alway thought RR could be crossed with teeth to get a special looking toothy seedling.

Gosh your seedlings sure have the "glow" Ed. Cindy your Galaxy Explosion x Rebekah's Gothic Spider is very nice. The colors compliment each other perfectly. I like the bicolor of Magnolialovers (Tracey) a bit further back in the thread, too.

A few patterns...
This is an old '07 sdlg that I have kept around and used in the few pattern crosses I do each year. Image is at 7am in the shade, it opens flat once the sun gets on it.

(Gish x Wonder Of It All) this is from seed I sold on the auction, my buyer and friend Anna Carlson sent me back a fan last fall to take a look at, she told me that if she decides to register she will name it after my wife Kay. How sweet is that?
This was the first bloom here in my garden. I like it and my wife was thrilled.

Ed - I love the direction you are going with your breeding. Very beautiful blooms!!!

Also, that is so nice of Anna to want to name that VERY lovely seedling after your wife. Amazing!!! Do my eyes deceive me or does that bloom have a green hue to it?

Thanks Becky for the kind words
That last seedling that Anna sent is a very pale yellow with a sleight green cast on the first bloom, but the day was very cloudy with a threat of rain until late afternoon.
I will post it again with a picture from a sunny day stacked with the one in the post above so we can see the comparison.
And the offer to name it after my wife is appreciated by both of us.
I've never met Anna, but we have been in some of the same daylily groups for many years, she likes to show me pictures of the seedlings she gets from the seeds I send her to show me what I let get away.
She has more than a few to get my goat, which she enjoys doing.
She also sent me a large UF that hasn't bloomed here yet that she plans on naming after me, I think she is rubbing it in :~) but I have some of her plants also, so if I get a chance you can guess I will get her back.

This seedling is one of the ones she likes to show me, from seeds I sold her on the auction.
The cross was (Spacecoast Starburst X Wonder Of It All)

Ed - That's quite the competition that you and Anna have going back and forth! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! I hope you get some very nice seedlings from her seeds so you can rub it in a little, too!!! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Thumbs up Her Spacecoast Starburst X Wonder Of It All seedling is beautiful. I can see where it might be difficult to part with seeds ... because you just never know. In your case, the competition is a good thing since you have a good relationship with her and she is wanting to name a seedling after your wife and possibly you! That's quite the honor, in my humble opinion.

Anna Carlson has been posting some really nice things on the spider/uf group on Facebook. I was impressed with the performance of the two introductions from her that I'm growing. Paper Lion was a single fan last fall. It now has multiple fans and still has buds yet to bloom. It will get in a bigger container this fall, I hope.
