It's a really tough plant also. It's in not-so-good soil, hot full sun and just keeps flowering and flowering....very trouble-free.

Where did you get the 'Red Velvet,' Sherry? I could use some red around my place.

I have done seedlings from that and I think they run true...in any case, they'll be red. Will bring to you....with the clerodendrum.

You have such a wonderful variety of Salvias, Sherry, and it's so well documented. If you ever feel the urge to record them for posterity, let me know and we can start a Salvia database in this cubit.

Do whatever you like with them, zuzu.....I'll keep adding all that I have as they flower. I don't know how many and which ones drdon is still growing (it's hard when you get spread thin with orchids, and dahlias, and roses, and iris and whatever else he may be collecting now), but he's much more knowledgeable than I and may have info/pics to contribute also.....

Well...I think we'd all like the California forums to be successful in all areas and interesting as it is to hear what we all have to say, I think everyone likes to look at pretty pictures, hmmm?.....and quite often the pics are more interesting than what I may have to say. I've also found lately that quite often it's better for me to keep my mouth shut..lol...

Sounds like there might be an interesting story behind that statement, Sherry, but I'm really glad you don't keep your mouth shut.
