Hi Everyone! The weather in SW England has been awful with the result that it has not been a great season so far for daylilies. Very little sun and much lower temperatures than usual plus SO much wind and rain, the colours have been muddy! Anyway here are some of my seedlings blooming for the first time

Perfectly Happy x unknown

How big is the Strung Out seedling? Did it pass on the huge flower of strung out?

Not much worth posting but here is one.
Unknown, maybe Indian Giver.

Found this interesting, a cracked seed pod and a bloom on the same scape!
A long blooming daylily.
Thumb of 2015-08-07/kidfishing/8f5de2

The heat index 110 so the bloom is melted. (I just took the picture)

Yes the flower is huge, scape around 2'6". I have another of the same cross, a little darker and the bloom a little smaller.
Thumb of 2015-08-07/Halfprice/6a239f

The Destined to See seedling looks interesting, this was the FFOE and the weather has been awful so subsequent blooms haven't opened properly. There is one bud left.

The Violet Becomes You seedling was also a FFOE and the colour was amazing.

Not much new to show. I have this seedling as an unknown diploid, but I am pretty sure it is Rose F. Kennedy X Blue Crystal. I have it listed as planted in that area, but lost my plot chart. It has been blooming for a while and is 9 inches across and 35 inches tall. Wasn't sure if I like it or not. I should have through some pollen at it.

Wow, you are all such inspirations. Next year, I will have to do some cross pollinating. I have only ever grown one seedling. It is not exciting, but my only "baby". The parent plant was Channel Island.

Whoa! Not exciting???? Looks pretty exciting to me! That is beautiful!!! Was it Channel Island crossed with itself or an unknown pollen parent?

I always deadhead my daylilies, but this pod was hidden behind the branch of a rose bush, and I missed it. So, when it ripened, I decided to plant a couple of the seeds. This was the only one that germinated. I am not sure about the cross. It is in a bed right next to Snow Valley, with no other daylilies close by. However, bees travel!
Now, I wish I had planted a few more seeds.

Glad that seed pod was sneaky and got past you! The bee did a good job spreading whatever pollen it used! Hilarious! Hilarious! Thumbs up Your photo of it is impressive! Thumbs up

I have one to contribute today, and later I expect another new seedling to bloom.
This is a child of Somewhat Awesom X God Save The Queen. The blossom is 5" wide, and the scape is 19" tall with two branches. The fan looks pretty good.
