And here is my second bloom for this year, and I like it even more! So I'm going to upgrade it to a 2-gal. pot and fertilize it! YEA!!!

I really love those little tendrils that are beginning to show!

Edit: You-all are probably going to see a lot of this picture, as I think I'm about to make it my avatar!

O thats nice. I love pink and yellow daylilies, plus I love the clean shape and that it has actual teeth/tendrils, not just alot of ruffles. I say thats a keeper, even if just for you.
I got my seedlings planted out, well most of them, Im stuggling with the heat tho, and no rain. I so wanted to see them bloom next year.
Do you plant your seedling right in the one gallon pot, and let it stay there until bloom. One gallon pots would be so much easier for me.

No, I had these in seed flats first, then in 4" pots, and last year I moved it up to a 1 gal. pot when I saw the first bloom -- and then I neglected/forgot about it for more than a year during my knee replacement process until it sent up this scape within the last month. Then I got excited! Hilarious!

I posted this on the wrong thread, so am posting it here where I should've done so originally.

I was surprised by this one bloom today. I don't know if it is a first bloom and therefore a late bloomer, or a rebloom. Unknown parentage:

Micro-sprinkler was on when I took this shot:

Loving your new avatar Betty! Pink, the edge, the tendrils...perfection. Thumbs up
Nice pattern seedling Gerry, very cool how the pattern "v's" over the midrib, at first glance it looks like a small flower inside a larger one.

Here is one I have had for a few years. It's tall, maybe 4 1/2 feet stalk. I like the colors and its somewhat spidery form. It always has a boatload of blossoms. Seed obtained from our local daylily society.

This is the first bloom of a seedling from North Wind Dancer x North Wind Drifter.
It is an early morning opener. Its widespand measures 11 inches, and the center petal measures 7 inches.
The contrast is gorgeous!

After I put my sdlg. gardens to bed for the Winter, guess what happened? I have one sdlg. that
grew a scape with 3 buds on it in the last 3 weeks. I was shocked. I hope it blooms before the cooler temps hit Vermont. What a bonus for me, as growing sdlgs. is my favorite hobby. I love the surprise, and I appreciate all the work that members do here to show and grow your creations.
