I think this is Epi related.
A bit rainy today but could not resist getting out and staring to build the new Epi greenhouse. Its a Costco car canopy without the canopy. In a few days plastic sheeting will go over the top and then the other covered areas will be tied in and tidied up.

Its a wonderful feeling of disappointment that you will get used to knowing that out there, in the dark, something wonderful was happening all because of a plant you cared for. Sighing!

I'm pretty sure it can hear the music from the greenhouse. But just in case, I will turn up the volume. Thumbs up

@ShadyGreenThumb Keep up the music but in addition, feed your epi some banana skins. I slice them into small pieces and drop them into the pot. They will soon turn black and you won't notice them, but they seem to have something that your epis like and perhaps that will prod them into blooming to say thank you. Thumbs up

My epi did not open. I checked on it every evening before bed, and every morning, first thing. The bud is hanging straight down. Still firmly closed. Sighing!

@Ursula, I'd never heard of epis' susceptibility to this cleistogamy. To be honest I wasn't familiar with the term at all. Blinking Do you think it's possibly what happened here?
Sighing! Sad

@terrafirma Just catching up here. Been on a trip out west. I am sure your epi bloomed. One of the names for epi oxys is Dutchmen's pipe. About a week before one of the. buds opens, it turns upward, and if you see one hanging down in this manner, you have missed the opening.
