Flowering yesterday. It is no secret that this is my favourite daylily, OLD TANGIERS. It glows, the surface texture is velvety.
You cast your eye across the garden and, despite competition from many stunners, it gets notice. Is there a reason why some cultivars' blossoms glow more than others? I often wonder why hybridisers haven't chased that fetching quality.
One of mine that I will keep. Milanese Mango X seedling. It is a nice orange bicolour.
Yesterday was early to work in the library on a Saturday and the day was later dark and dull from several thunderstorms passing or lurking. Photographing was trying.
