Even though it's form is less modern by today's standards, 'Babbling Brook' is still a lovely Iris. Can you imagine though, what the hybridizers must have thought was their limits back when that came out? There are color combinations, forms and patterns that didn't exist back then..

I love all (well, most) of the modern Irises, but they do not take anything away from the beauty of those that came before. Some of my very most favorite Irises are historics!! (Arlyn will be happy to hear that -- lol)

Blaze Valley is gorgeous and is now on my want list.

John's father passed away recently and so he has been off the radar. I am hoping he will give some out at our iris meeting when he gets back to Lexington next year. He does sometimes give out some of his intros but probably not this new one.

Sorry to hear about his Dad.

I love-love-love Blaze Valley!!! If the hybridizer gives out this Iris next year Janie -- tell him you have other Kentucky compatriots who need it too!!!!

And suggest that he might consider giving Kent a commission check.

It was just introduced this year so I wonder how many he would be giving out.... (a girl can dream). I do plan on buying it, so I hope the price drops next year.
