Those red squirrels can be really nasty, too. My cat plays with the rabbits, runs around with them. Such fun. Then they go eat my irises. But I'm kinda happy. I can't stand to see those baby bunnies killed. I'm going to put a lot more clover into my lawn, and see if that helps.

There is nothing worse than a red squirril in the attic.They tare everything apart.

You know how lucky we can get at garden themes sometimes?
I have self sowing perennial snap dragons and Venus poppies plus an asiatic mix (mystery bulbs) from BuggyCrazy. This is what bloomed this morning.

When the poppies are more open I will pix it.

They were bought through the Pacific Northwest Lily Society, and they were quite inexpensive. I paid as little as $3.00 for some of them. I like to be careful, what with viruses and the lily beetle. I know thata my chances of getting those plagues is less if I go through a society - and it helps the smaller companies.

I didnt know Buggy long enough to list her varieties.I have no idea what I have but all are special.I have never bought a mix with so much variety.

She has left her website up so you can try to match them up. Luckily the ones I got were labeled.
