I have several pairs of jeans and some T-shirts that I can wear when I spray paint or just painting with a brush, I always manage to get paint on myself. I have some blue grass even though I put down an old sheet of plywood and an old tablecloth. Do you know that E6-000 glue is just like elastic? I've been peeling it off my fingers for several days now. DH's hands shake so he gets glue over everything, says it is great for getting dirt out from under his fingernails. I'm trying to picture that now. I prefer using a small brush for that.

Speaking of glue, do they still make those bottles that have a rubber top shaped like a fingernail, with a slit it in? So that when you push it against something the slit opens up and lets some glue come out?

Mucilage glue, LePage used to make it.
I've seen it around. It can be mixed with some powder pigments, liquids too, to make them more permanent. Oh boy, it sure had a funny taste.

Mostly good only for paper.
Don't inhale when you use it.

Never ate that glue, but LOVED the taste of paste in the little white containers with the orange spreader built into the lid. Mom finally stopped buying the paste and made me use the mucilage glue. I never understood why Shrug!

I think I was already teaching when the little bottle of paste and orange spreader came to be.

When I was in first grade, which would have been 1966-67 school year, I think... Mom made our paste and sent it to school with us, and my teacher didn't like it and wouldn't let me use it. I think she was a city gal, and didn't know paste could be made at home. To her, paste came in little white jars with orange spreaders.
