Love you guys, cause around my neighborhood, I'm *not* a spring chicken, and I'm not old! (neither are any of y'all, as far as I can tell... we're only as old as we act, right?)

Well... if you started teaching when you were 11 1/2, and are retired now, that makes you ... 25-26, right? But that innate maturity makes it seem like you're in your mid-30s, maybe. At least, that's how it seems from this little patch of paradise here in Jawja.

In Sept of 1966 I was14 yrs old, going into the ninth grade and 7 months later, March 15th 1967, I would meet my future husband of 40 years for the first time. I feel madly in love with him. Everyone told me that I didn't know what love was. Don't you believe it. He was 19 years old and the finest thing I'd ever laid eyes on. Of course, Mama ran him off with a tongue lashing, but I never gave up. We married March 27, 1971.
And I never ate glue. But I looked like I ate everything else. At least until I saw my sweetheart. Good memories.

you are all me up! Is this the chat thread?
Dahlia, I love rubber cement.
When I was young, I bought the cutest gift wrap and rubber cemented it to my kitchen walls in my first apartment with my hubby. I can still see it. Sage green (then called Olive green) with rows of veggies.
When it was time to move, I peeled it off, rubbed the glue and VOILA! It was fresh as can be. It's fun for collages and scrap books.
See what happens when you're gone, Boo. Our true selves come to the surface. I try to maintain some dignity but they get to acting like kids every time. It just gets worse as the night wears on.
AHEM this is a very important thread (or bobbin) for the artistically challenged (see title where I actually spelled 'artistically' correctly). Part of our 'challenge' is that we get easily distracted I have a new exciting example for us which I will pictify today.
