Gigi, we had a hot Summer here in the NE and I simply added some extra waterings with the help of a timer. That worked very well for those times I wasn't home.

Some of my Fall flowering Cattleyas are starting up. There is Blc/Rth Dennis Kone -

and Lc/ Ctt Mary Elizabeth Bohn.

My Habenaria medusa is now done blooming, but this newcomer is still blooming on that extra tall spike.

And there is the Restrepia landsbergii

While you lucky ones were off shopping for orchids, I was cheering my Dawgs against A & M in College Station, Texas. I just got back home. My cheering fell on deaf ears. We lost. Crying

Oh, my! The color on Mary Elizabeth Bohn is just wonderful, and the Habenaria looks like a fireworks show in your picture.

(edited to add) Too bad, Ken. It's the price of being such a dedicated fan, I guess.

Hi Carol, no. This one was given to me by a local friend who is scaling back his collection. He moved and the new solarium isn't really big enough for large Vandas. He has quite a few more and I am hoping he will let them come to me also. Hard to let go of some. I know the feeling. He has over 1000 orchids and not enough room for 500 really. He is doing some major downsizing. He is bringing a boatload of them to our next meeting to auction off (mostly Cattleyas).

I have a last Chocolate Drop and I put a "Not For Sale" label on her. She was grown from a tiny plug, about 2" tall and she is straining to grow an inflo. I have had her for almost four years and she's actually large enough to divide. I won't touch her until she flowers. Thumbs up

Sorry I've been missing but there is just not enough time in the day. I have all day MG desk duty tomorrow followed by a library talk in Riverview which is about an hour southeast of here. I've been able to plant and pot a few of the newly acquired plants but have more to do.

Melissa, wonderful color on your Papilionanda Noriko Sumida.

Plectrelminthus caudatus. It was in spike when I purchased. Southwest Airlines did a good job not stressing it too bad in my return flight. I got it to bloom (lost 2 buds). Not bad at all. Love it.
