I've had a Willi's Gold against a West facing wall since 2008. It is in a large, 20" container. There are some large Loblolly pines and a Live Oak or two that somewhat filter the light but nothing is closer than 50' so the plant really gets blasted with sun at times. We have had some cold nights the past two winters and it died back to the roots both times but popped right back up in the spring.

They should not be getting more than 4 hrs of sun in the summer at that spot.

I am excited that 'Miss Andrea' is going to flower. I just hope she will set fruit.

Beautiful. Miss Andrea has proven to be very hardy here. I have several that have been outdoors for many years but I have never seen any blooms.

If Miss Andrea has performed well for you, give the tissue culture sports of Miss Andrea a try. 'Electra' shows up in the garden centers here often.

Coloring is similar, but brighter and stronger coloring than the 'Miss Andrea'.

Oh wow, they are beautiful and I didn't realize there were Miss Andrea sports out there. Our stores really do not carry much other than the dark fuchsia ones. I had found Miss Andrea at a tiny independent nursery 10 or 12 years ago. Lots of stunning new ones to look for now. You are an enabler Scott.

Here is another plant I found early this summer at Lowes with the name 'Electra'. It looked different from the other 'Electra' on the bench there, so it found a home here. The plant still holds the different look with bright pink coloration.

Here is a photo of one of my 'Willi's Gold' that shows no trace of the pink coloration in its leaves.

After 5 years I gave up on it getting the pink coloration and picked up another.

Your green and white Willii's is nice too. Mine started out like your second picture but over the years the pink coloration has gotten darker. I'll take a photo tomorrow.

What would be a reasonable price for a 12 inch Cordyline Fruticosa? TIA I saw one that looked healthy for $ 8.

'Sherbet' is a name for a Cordyline, but the one you picked up is not it. I think they misspelled the name and it looks to be the large growing 'Scherbertii'.

I am aware it is not Sherbet. Hence the Confused Hilarious!
I haven't heard of sherbertii and can't find a reference for it. But I liked it so I bought it Thumbs up
