Hmmm this is more the standard size. So I don't think it's Sherbertii. Leaves are about 12-14" (from memory, the plant is outside and it's dark Whistling )

My plant did not obtain the longer leaves until the plant obtained about 2' trunk height. I have a smaller Sherbertii plant now in my collection with leaves only 12". The color markings and pronounced leaf veining point to Sherbertii from my view. After my original plant grew it also showed a pronounced swirl to the leaf attachment to the trunk that is not yet noticed on my smaller plant.

Not sure if this helps, but this was sold to me as "Sherbet" a few years ago. I finally lost it to the drought. I notice that I spelled it incorrectly...and can't blame it on autocorrect. If this is incorrect ID, I need to change it in the data base.

'Sherbet' is a name for a Cordyline that is green with light pink in the new flush of growth.

Good results from the cuttings I bought in early November. Only Leisha failed to root and has shriveled up.
Interestingly, I cut the big green Ti logs in three sections. I water rooted one, soil rooted the second one upright, and soil rooted the third one horizontally. They are performing at almost the exact same rate.

Can any of you experts help me identify these cordylines, growing
in botanical gardens in Granada and Barbados?

Thank you - I took lots of photos (not just of cordylines) and sadly cannot remember all the names... Confused

Definitely drool worthy. I used to have Kiwi but it must have given up the ghost for me.

Cannot help with names, but I really like that one. Everyday I carry a small notebook with me. At my age you never know when you will need it! nodding

Another thing I do when I go out to view and enjoy flora is to bring along several snack sized plastic bags to bring back seeds. Big Grin And of course a Sharpie pen
