I like the arrangements. Many of them are so different than how you usually see iris displayed.

I know I posted one of these before, but when I grow up and make a few million, this will be in my house. Notice the "price upon request." Gads!

If I only make one million then I guess I will have to be happy with the table lamp:

There are many other colors and styles to choose from if you all have spare change jingling in your pockets. Hilarious! Hilarious!

I get a big laugh out of the fact that accessories for the lights are the wooden shipping boxes!!

Leslie. I was watching a HGTV show and they were instaling a glass magnolia light. I think it priced out at over 50 thousand.

The orange one is pretty nice too! I love that it's "price upon request"... In other words, if you have to ask, you can't afford it. Hilarious!

Well, if I won the lottery, I wouldn't be buying one of those.

LOL -- there ya go, Sherry -- figure out a way to make it work!! Green Grin!

If I won the lottery, I think I would have a giant bubble installed over our property. It would be climate controlled for the benefit of Irises (which, incidentally, would be pretty comfy for the citizenry as well), it would have a roll-back roof to allow fresh air and sunshine to be enjoyed on beautiful days, and soft rains on lovely rainy days, and it would close right up on cold, windy, nasty days.

Yup -- I think that would be money well-spent!

Oh -- and I might allocate a *little bit* more land to Iris gardens. And I would hire a gardner who would take care of my prized Iris beds. Yah -- that should do it. Smiling

Well, I was just talking about "art" I would acquire. The house and garden that said art would be ensconced in is a whole nother story! Hilarious!

I'd buy property in the Southern Hemisphere and have two seasons of iris every year. nodding

I think I would choose Australia then. Though New Zealand is gorgeous too.

That is why I said Oz first. But it is a short flight between the two, so I could get Barry's iris and plant them in a garden with breaktaking NZ views. Best of both worlds. And NZ, like Oz, has mighty fine wines as a bonus!

I haven't been to Australia, but I *loved* New Zealand. I was in heaven when we were able to go to a couple of nurseries and saw all the stuff I covet... Plus it looks like everything grows well there. If it weren't for those pesky earthquakes....

New Zealand has some very tough import/export rules that would shut down ANY exporting or importing of irises.

True Greg, but then we are talking a perfect world. And I bet vendors in NZ have many Aussie imports, US ones too.

A quick perusal of NZ vendors - yes, they carry all the usual suspects - hybridizer wise, as well as NZ breeders. I also found that they have a very large following for MDB's since they all carry a lot of them. They must do well in the climate there.

I am pretty sure that there is no importing of Irises to New Zealand. If it is possible, it must be very costly to do. I looked at a few iris sellers sites in New Zealand and they have nothing after 2003 other than locally hybridized stuff.
