Got the materials gathered, alomost all of them and will start on it tomorrow.

Only 6 days to make a nest!!!!! got to start getting a plan together!

Nite dear.

I finished my nest. It's not anything special. Just a nest! I guess when you talented folks post your photos, I'll have a better idea of how to do the next one.

I have a few little birds perched on the edges. Then I added a few eggs. The birds are about 1.5 x 2" and the eggs were around an 1" around. When I stepped back , I thought "Aw,how cute, they are watching their eggs." Then It dawned on me "geez...... if she laid those big eggs, it would have killed her. What a stretch. I'm so hilarious. I can entertain myself for hours. My poor family thinks I have absolutely lost it and have no idea where.

And I love you all too. What a great bunch of friends. It's so nice to have like minded (or lack of) friends.

I am enjoying all of these crafts for my garden so much. Thanks again Becky for the great forums.

I don't even have my nest started yet although I've collected all the materials. Silly me, I made the eggs first so now I'm going to have to make the nest big enough for them!

That's why mine borrowed the Robin's eggs.... Whew!!!!

Charleen I don't think you need to put anything on the nest they last for ever out of the weather ..
ok I had a few mins between finishing my fall quilt sq and making Chimes so I made a nest .. now if i remember to be here Sunday to load up a picture ..

my little nest is very plain but will do, then I will put it outside and let the birds have it.

My next is , um, colorful but messy. I was thinking like a bird!

They do use some unusual stuff when building nests! Last year they pulled my tie wraps off the fence that I had holding up my clematis vines. Little brats!

I've had them use insulation Hubby put in a shed also plastic grocery bags....they are very creative and of coarse donkey mule hair when I trim my longears...

I MUST HAVE BUTTERCUP! (flapping and fluttering about like a bird )

But I want Buttercup!!! Just had to report in quick, I'm so excited...my nest is done! All I need is someone to kick me in the butt. My friend was here last night and asked if I was done yet? Done? I told her I hadn't even started and she told me to get busy!!! Oh Buttercup... ♬ ♪ ♬ your new home is waiting.

Guess we better hope Buttercup lays some eggs too!
