I am sooooo slow this weekend. I couldn't figure out what was so funny.
So, I changed it...to August 21st!

The eggs are also too big. But they don't look bad. Built on a foil ball, didn't take so much clay that way. love it....

Ok, now don't laugh at me y'all, but I just spotted this thread about 15 minutes ago and thought I read that today was the day to enter the contest and post photo's ... so, I went out back to my deck thinking "Now what in the world can I use to make a Birdnest"? As I've said before, I am not a crafty person so I don't have craft supplies around, but I decided to improvise and quickly make a nest from things I found in the yard.

Lin, You will notice I just removed a lot of your post....BECAUSE my dear, that is a wonderful bird nest and I want to see it in the contest!!! That is exactly what I was hoping someone would do.

When you re-post next Sunday, be sure to show your inspiration!

Somewhere here I mentioned to "think like a bird" and you did!

I am also laughing because you thought you just has a few hours. Sometimes that's the best time anyway for creating.

Becky: Thank you! I am a bit scatter brained at times (or maybe that's bird brained!) Sometimes I have the attention span of a gnat. I didn't even see the part where you said to "think like a bird", LOL. I hadn't planned on entering the contest and really laughed out loud at myself after hurriedly making my nest and rushing back to post a picture before the deadline. When I came back and re-read the directions and saw that it said Sunday the 21st I literally laughed out loud!

I deserve demerits for not paying better attention in class. I will try to remember to repost my "inspiration" as well as my creation next Sunday!

I collect bird nests so I especially love this contest! Oh, wait....I started it!

I love seeing everyone playing and so supportive of each other.
