My grandma used to make dried (weed) bouquets with gold or silver sprayed milkweed in them. That was the only use I had seen for them years ago.

CJ: That is really awesome ... love it! Whoever made that did a terrific job! There are so many crafty minded folks out there ... maybe if I stay around this forum long enough, some of that "craftiness" will sink into my old brain!

I LOVE those milkweed birds! CJ, if it was a gift, was it the giver who made it? Or did the giver buy it? It's a serious piece of work!

My friend bought the milkweed piece at a fall craft fair. I took it in to work to enjoy it cause I figured the cats would destroy it at home. Hope the piece inspires those of you with all of those craft supplies and skills.

I could have used some ideas from that piece for mine. Oh well, next time! My DH likes my little bird nest so much he thinks I should make one for his mother for Christmas!
