Yeah, that makes two big changes since July at DG. I will not be renewing my subscription. Besides, I like it here. There's really no comparison in terms of activity on the forums. Some of the people you might be familiar with and some not, but they're all wonderful.

Did someone say dog biscuit recipe? I will be watching for it.

Patti, Marilynne (M) makes some great dog cookies and she also makes her own dog food for her 3 furbabies, Zoey, Lilly and Piper. I think you will get along famously.

Wow, so I live in Illinois and it is an unbelievable 60ish but very breezy...lol so nice we had a bbq last night!

I hung on to Jean's shirttails through Cubits and landed here.

It wasn't until after I had paid my subscription that I realized that Dave was no part of Dave's Garden...I was not happy. It took me several months to figure out where he had gone because I was brand-new to gardening. I'm so glad I finally found his newest site!

Arlene. The DG owners are working very hard at getting rid of everything that made DG such a success. I would say how sad, but we have ATP and Cubits....the good folks and good stuff DG is trashing.

DOGS .. I have 3 .. West Highland White Terriers (Westies) .. and .. I am 'chief cookie maker' .. and, have just found a GREAT recipe
Easy Peasy .. lemon squeezy'

2 eggs .. beaten
3/4 cup of Pumpkin puree (I use sweet potato puree)
3 tbsps. (and a bit) of peanut butter
2 tbsps. powdered milk (optional)
3 cups of whole wheat flour .. you could use rice flour or all purpose

Beat the eggs (I uses fork)
Add the pumpkin or sweet potato ....... mix well ..
Add the flour a cup at a time and make a dough ball

Flour your table top and roll out the dough .. I break it in half, it's easier
Roll out til it's a 1/2 to a 1/4 inch think .. the thinner the crunchier ..
Cut out with a cookie cutter ... I use a plastic medication cup LoL and, I get about 8 dozen+ round/oval cookies
The dogs love them

350 x 22 minutes .. parchment paper on the cookie sheets ..

Anyway .. I figger I almost have a handle on Christmas .. famous last words

As some of you do NOT know .. I am Mom to one son, Murray .. long story short, he is married to my arch nemesis .. we are like oil and water, and at this present time .. my ties with him and his family (2 grandkids, Brooklyn 17, and, Austin 14) are bent and gnarled, and, Christmas is going to be quiet and rough.
I also 'care' for a childhood friend, my BFF, Lorna .. Lorna had a blood clot in her left ankle in 2007, and, had to have her left leg amputated .. it has been a long road back, but, as those here that know the story of the story .. she is working .. the head gardener at a large local cemetery, and, last year won them a first place award for Civic Beautification ..
An inspiration for sure ..

Anyway .. thanks again for the wonderful welcome ..
