mjsponies does offer Hoyas on occasion on the Classified Forum: http://garden.org/forums/view/... and other members may at times offer cuttings or plants for sale too ... it's always good to keep a watch on that forum! Green Grin!

Cora do you know what one's your interested in ? Take a look at my plant list and let me know. I don't have all of them on there so if there's one that you don't see that you know you want ask me.

That will help me narrow it down. LOL!

oh dang--I'm very sorry to hear about the lights dimming at SRQ, what does that mean, I wonder? I kinda had some on my wishful wish list for next spring, *if I liberated some room for them...

mj, I've always wanted tenuipes, so let me know if/when you may have some cuttings of that one, please
and I really lust after your ciliata Lovey dubby , but my good sun in the winter is totally occupied
any lacunosa?

@dirt do you mean H. australis ssp. tenuipes ? I need to check but I think I have a plant out there and I'm pretty sure I could do cuttings.

Wax Plant (Hoya australis subsp. tenuipes)

H. lacunosa I might be able to do some cuttings.

I wouldn't recommend ciliata for you unless you could give it a lot of supplemental light in the winter.

Yes! That's the one I meant Smiling
Let me know what you find, would love to have some cuttings if you can spare some.

I do have some really good winter sun--it's just too clogged up with other stuff *Blush* maybe someday I'll part with some of these obnoxiously huge plants and try some new ones. I'm just not ready quite yet

I'm getting ready to mix up some potting soil mix for the Hoyas. I'm thinking of using a peat based soil, with coir, perlite, orchid bark, shredded tree fern (if I can find it), pelleted lime, and charcoal. But I'm wondering if anyone has ever mixed in hydroton into their mix as well?

Can I get an ID on this Hoya? It was not labeled. I'm thinking it may be a tri-color carnosa? Or variegated Chelsea carnosa if there is a thing? Idk. White leaves are long, and green leaves are more short and wide.

Very pretty and I agree, it looks to be Krimson Queen Hoya (Hoya carnosa 'Tricolor')

Is it normal for Hoya Kerri blooms to smell like bread? Or is there something wrong with it? It's my friends plant.

LOL, I've heard it said that hoya fragrance differs from nose to nose and I do believe that to be true. I remember someone once referring to the fragrance of a particular hoya (don't remember which one) as the blooms smelling like butter while someone else thought the fragrance definitely smelled of caramel ... guess it all depends on ones nose. Green Grin!

My Sweetheart Hoya (Hoya kerrii) doesn't bloom often and I don't remember what the fragrance was like; it was pleasant but I don't recall exactly what it reminded me of.

Lol! My friend is 2 states away and I've never smelled the blooms on his Hoya before. He says his patio where it is always smells like a bakery and bread lol.

I bet he has the best smelling patio in the neighborhood! I remember as a young child there was a bread factory in town and oh how heavenly the scent was to drive by there.
