Char and Cindy, I am very concerned about what our summer is going to be like. Breaking heat records now does not bode well. Crying

Sorry for the late response Cindy,..i was away yesterday.

The last snow we had was back in 2010,..since then we got the odd flurry which didn't stay on the ground,..there was a time when we expected snow around Christmas,..alas those days have gone,..it made Christmas as we imagine it.

Only 5f this morning, it warmed up nicely into the mid 30's this afternoon. The cold doesn't bother me that much, so it's not really to cold to play in the garden.....the problem is everything is frozen solid. Sighing! The high wind and warm temps are heading our way for tonight and tomorrow. Have noticed one good thing.....the hours of daylight are getting longer!

Last I looked at the temp yesterday it was 74 and very windy. Today looks like a repeat of yesterday with Thunderstorms moving in around 6pm. Got a good headstart on beds for this Spring. All the beds are cleaned out except the strawberry patch and the big Flower Bed in the back. Wonder if I can get the boys back in the bin today to jump on the yard waste to make more room haha. Sharing a few pics from around here... "Southern Comfort" in its winter colors. Love how the heucheras darken in the cold weather :)....rabbits worked hard all winter to fill the veg beds.....These are carrots I found that I had planted last Spring still alive and kicking haha! dug up about half a bucket......Then I realized I dug up dirty carrots!

They are calling for it to be 77F, which is a bit warmer than it should be at this time of year. There is no rain in the 10-day forecast.

Yikes! this early in the season that seems awefully hot.

It is in the 50's here today. Breezy so doesn't feel as mild as one might like. But still not a bad day to be outdoors so I took a nice 3 mile exercise walk with my dog, my friend and her dog.

It is Rita. Crying However, it is a nice 77 right now. I have 21 pots of daylilies that are starting to grow like crazy! Glare

We are also eating cherry tomatoes off the plant I had from last season. It has stayed growing all winter! Sweet 100, I think.

Now that really amazes me that you can over winter a tomato plant. That sure would never happen around here. Especially this winter were last weekend we had minus temperatures for overnight lows. Believe me that is usual for us to get any where near that cold.

No daylily foliage up as yet here. I think soon though spring will come and green things start growing. I do just love spring.
