They are calling for a high of 79F. That may sound nice but it is wrong for this time of year. I dread to see what summer will be like.

We've had a mixed bag of weather today. Started with an inch of wet snow, changed to freezing rain by mid morning. Just after noon it turned to all rain, cold 34 to 35f rain. Now they are saying we will warm up overnight with possible thunderstorms and be near 50f tomorrow! Then Friday night clearing and back into the single digits overnight into Saturday....crazy.
Shouldn't and I'm not really complaining, it could be worse. There were more awful tornado's in the south last night and today.
Glad it cooled off a bit Linda. If you need a place to cool off this summer Kelli, come on over Smiling (mid to the end of July is peak bloom)

Crazy, crazy weather stuff going on for sure!!!

We were under a tornado watch this morning but it was cancelled long before they had originally said it would be. We got 1/2" of rain FAST. That left us with a wind advisory which has held all day. 25-35 mph & boy it's been howling out there! El Nino has brought us more high winds during it's reign. I sure will be glad when it's a done deal!

It's still snowing here this morning. Not a very heavy snow, I think we only have about 2 inches but I don't like driving in it.

It was 55 this morning when I got up. I waited for a couple of hours before going out and by that time it had reached 66. Perfect for picking up sticks and branches that blew off in the high winds we had for the last couple of days.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

Currently about 10F (-12C) here and surrounded by ice after half an inch of freezing rain and regular rain on top of several inches of snow. What a slippery mess!

I will take six inches of snow over 1/2 inch of ice anytime. So sorry. Sad

@lovemyhouse I agree
It never got over 66 today but the wind has finally cut down.

Not much weather going on here today. It is cloudy and not so windy. The red winged blackbirds are back already. I have had 2 on my feeder today.

I was wondering how bad it was over your way Sue, sounds really slippery. We lucked out and had mostly all rain, a lot of rain Wed. night which melted almost all our ice. The sun came out for a bit yesterday morning and warmed it up to 60f! Water was running everywhere, on top and under the ground...strange stuff, the frost heaves the ground up and the water runs underneath. There was even a fountain where the water was forced up through a hole in the ground. Image makes it look like a blob of ice but it's really bubbling water about 6 inches tall.

Today we had colder temps with wind and tonight is suppose to be single digits.
Hurray! for the red winged blackbirds! To me they are a sure sign of spring, although we don't normally see them until April. Is this early for you to see them Cindy?

Oh that IS weird Char. I can see the water bubbling. I guess this is a prime example of erosion?????
