Just remember that while they have great grip on ice/snow they can be slippery when you come inside and walk on surfaces that are 'slippery when wet' and that they make noise when metal hits floor! The kind with steel points will make shallow holes in wood floors and steps and decks. I like to take mine off while on boot or shoe when I get inside the door and just leave them in place.
My floors are hardwood so I wouldn't dream of wearing them in the house. My front porch is painted wood so I'd probably take them off as soon as I got to the top of the steps. Nice warning though!

It's in the 40s here and raining so I won't be going out except to pick up the mail.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

Sounds like the weather you have now is what we will have Friday,Sondra. Started raining earlier this morning and forecast says all day then Friday in the 70's. Of course they say another bout of rain Sat/Sun and then Monday morning wake up temps in the 30's....
I have 3 pairs of yak traks here and I love them!! It's been a long time since I've really needed them but I'm glad I have them anyways. We have them at work for employees to use if needed.

The Evergreen trees look just aces
Rain and fog here. Snow coming this weekend which means all this liquid will turn into ice...again. I rather have snow. I don't even care if it's 3 or 4 feet deep. I can dig!!
No snow here and I hope it stays that way. A nice afternoon at 42 degrees means I could be comfortable on my afternoon exercise walk with my dog. We usually walk for 3 miles.

Amanda - you can only wear one pair at a time. Since I am just up the rode a piece, maybe you should loan me a pair for now? Would not want them to get out of practice.
And yes - for anyone new thinking of buying. Place rubber mat on your wooden porch and take them off there before entering house.
38 F here this morning, we're supposed to have some rain tonight and tomorrow. I still have ice in the driveway, I'm hoping that if we have to have rain that it will at least melt that! Grooming dogs today, so not looking forward to all the mud in the backyard that rain and thawing will bring, though!

cold weather is about to happen here ,, 40's for a couple days .

43 here right now. No sunshine though so it made it feel damper on my exercise walk with my dog. No point in complaining as for mid January that is okay. No snow so we can spend time outside.
Most of the snow and ice is gone here and the *gravel* roads are slimy as all get out now but that will change overnight and for the next week or so. The big artic air is coming down and will have everyone shivering.
