So did you finally get it to work?

I'm totally baffled by electronic things. When we bought our big flat screen tv we had the Best Buy geek squad come and set it up. Worth every penny.

Thank goodness DH is good at getting electronics going or fixing something that I have goofed up. When he and our grandson are speaking about electronics, it's like a foreign language to me. Whistling Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

That's what we had today too, Marilynne; DH went outside and came back and said "it's definitely not a heat wave out there!" LOL, we are so spoiled right now -- it's January and could just as well be -20F ! Plus, the sun was shining... I am definitely not complaining Thumbs up

I bought a surround system couple years back with the back speakers on wireless. The back speakers wouldn't pick up, one of my guys fixed it. Had to move the corner cabinet a couple months ago the TV and system are in as the dust made my TV not work right. After cleaning, the back surround was off again. The guy that fixed it doesn't work for me anymore. Wonder if he has some time to come fix it again.

It was very cold this morning and supposed to be colder tomorrow 35 morning temps predicted. I told my crew to take the day off tomorrow. Too cold to paint outside. Certainly too cold to put in the plants I bought today.

Got a call just after 5 for a job to do tomorrow inside. Now have to get those plants out of the car in the morning. Should have brought in my winter parka today from the car.

Smiling Molly ..I was out playing with the pups in the snow wearing jeans and a sweatshirt .. the temps were perfect .. like March !

Well .. my wireless printer is now properly configured, and, the BlackBerry Tablet as well .. the new TV still has 'issues' .. tomorrow is another day .. Rolling my eyes.

Back up to 40s and still below freezing at night so my driveway will become a skating rink. Think I'll get some ice melt because I really don't want anyone falling or sliding their trucks down the drive.

Morning all. 17 here this am and about that tonight with high of 36 and gusty winds. Turned on furnace for first time last night and have 100 gals heating oil coming on Friday which should see me thru rest of 'winter' Sure glad cost is down on fuel. Too bad it doesn't store well or I might consider stockpiling a couple hundred gals.

Two years ago the garbage collection guys wioed out my mailbox, trash recycling area and lots of plants because they thought they could navigate 'my hill'. They didn't even leave a note but my neighbor saw them. All I got was a new trash bin!
Another good reason why those of us living down this hill park at the top!

Temps in the 20's are not my idea of perfect even if it is winter!! Hilarious! It is 22 here right now and it feels like the deep freeze to me. Of course we have been spoiled as our winter has been so mild so far. But yesterday and today plenty chilly out there. Fortunately tomorrow it goes back up to temps I can stand again.

Mid 30s for high today but it's still not touching some of the ice here. I demanded ice melt be put down because we're all tired of baby steps. Hilarious!

Same here Amanda .. temp AND ice wise .. awful ice, but, for here, incredible temps ..

My BFF lives with us .. she suffered an amputation of her L leg several years ago .. she wears a prosthetic leg, walking in winter is treacherous for her .. she's not one to hang back though, so, she's extra careful when out and about ..

Temps higher today than yesterday so was sorta nice during the day. At least I could go for a long exercise walk with my dog and do 3 1/2 miles. But we were both bundled up. Not bundled up as much as yesterday though when it was really cold.

David .. this morning it's +25F .. Northern Ontario is USUALLY in a horrifying DEEP freeze at this time of year .. temps hovering around -35to-40 F are not uncommon .. so .. it isn't odd to see 'young folks' out in shorts .. pushing it a bit much .. but, it's almost 'springlike' here.
Having said that I am almost SURE we'll be plastered in snow with plummeting temps Crying

Ice in the parking lots and driveways is a real issue .. walk with your head DOWN, or, don't walk at all ! Shrug!

Up to 50° today with rain. Sunday though, we will have a high of 26°, with a trace of snow between now and then.

Temps here will be above freezing for lows and 50 - 60 over the weekend.

Do any of you use ice cleats or Yak Trax or other traction foot wear to help with ice navigation? I keep a pair in vehicles and one in house. They are indispensible to me each winter and are easy enough to slip on and off my shoes or boots.
