Reading about everyone's cold weather makes it feel even colder.

Here it is very windy so they say the wind chill makes it feel like 13. I am staying in.

So sunny. So pretty outside today. 60's maybe and a bit breezy. Will enjoy the next two days while it lasts before our next arctic cold snap. They were wrong about the last freeze. But maybe I should take them seriously about Sunday night??

We were 31F this morning and the prediction is 26 tonight. Other than Saturday morning being above freezing, we won't be above freezing for our low until Wednesday. Monday's low is supposed to be 21. We have already had at least a dozen mornings below freezing and we are only mid-December. Unless something causes a drastic change in us getting these cold-fronts, January and February are going to be frigid months for sure. It may be warming in the Arctic but I sure don't see it down here in the Deep South. Maybe we are getting all of the Arctic's cold, leaving them warmer? Confused

Cheryl, I would probably take them seriously this time. It's supposed to be a low of 33F down here in our northern suburbs and a low of 40 here on the island.

Ken, they have hypothesized that the vortex has shifted and is going to cause colder and longer lasting winters for the eastern half of the country. Shrug! We'll see.

Currently 22 with wind chills in the single digits. Tomorrow we get above freezing for awhile before the plunge hits.

Yikes, that sounds pretty cold for your area!

Darned supermoon is keeping us pretty frigid... right now we're down to about 5F, going down to slightly below zero overnight. I'll be glad to see a slight warmup next week, maybe up to around 30F by Wednesday! Hurray!

Yup, that'd be a 'snowbird' driving a Toyota .. funny thing is, my plate is 'BECX' .. close .. actually could be someone from this area fleeing the MONSTER chill !! Sad

At the risk of sounding repetitive .. we remain in the frigid air mass, but, the wind has blown itself out !
I do think with all the environmental factors factored in, it's -20F

Ken .. are those temps not WAY off for you ?

Have a good one

This many sub-freezing nights in November through mid-December is not usual down here, M. There have been lots of years that I have been in a T and shorts in early and mid December. Generally, January and February will be our "cold" months, with numerous cold fronts moving through.

The cold blasts are definitely moving further south earlier this year. We've had more here than usual, for sure.

It's 61F here this morning and we have a gross marine layer sitting on top of us. It's misty, foggy, and just plain ol' coffee weather.

High of 77F today with a low of 67F tonight. Tomorrow is going to be weird. High of 85F with a low of 40F.

Rains gone now, but the winds are lingering and blowing hard, seems not content to still see city trees with leaves. Good to see the sun! Mother Nature vacuuming my garden, so all the leaves nicely blown to the sides.

Currently at 49F, 54% humidity, hopefully get into the mid 50's daytime. Expecting mid to low 30F's overnight. It will be quite chilly overnights expected for the next three nights.

72F when I left work. The Sun was on its way down and the clouds were finally starting to clear out. Was a beautiful and relaxing drive home. Took some pics.

Our water clears up so much in the fall. Here is a quick shot of the Bay water. I wish it was this clear in the summer when the water is warm enough to swim.

Our weather is absolutely rotten right now. Freezing drizzle/fog and if roads aren't treated they are solid sheets of ice. My road (gravel) and driveway are icy and I've already told my parents and a coworker that I probably won't go to work tomorrow because it's bad here. Main roads are fine because they've been treating the heck out of them today.

Forecast for tomorrow is maybe 12 for high and -6 for low and that was earlier today. Snow amounts tomorrow keep changing but I'll say 3-8 inches is roughly what I've been hearing.

Ugh, Amanda! The weather where I am is better... maybe you should move north, to the Upper Peninsula nodding

We're supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow tonight, maybe another inch tomorrow; then a couple of bitterly cold nights, but by Wednesday the daytime temp should be around 30F. Thumbs up
