It is 50F here, sun is out and thankfully dry for now. Expecting more rain these coming days.

When we drive around, I find myself taking photos of some canines with their masters on the road..

cute doggie pics. I feel bad that I never take our dogs out with us in the car. Problem is, most of the year it is just too hot and it's rare to find a business they can go into. I try to take them to the beach occasionally but it ends up being about once a year.

It's beautiful again today, 83°f with humidity of 64%. Sunny and there is a light breeze from the Gulf. I'm back driving my jeep with the screen windows so I'm really out in it when I'm out and about.

Amanda, wooh that's cold. Especially before the polar plunge even gets to you. Fingers crossed it's more mild than expected.

Tarev, I love looking at fur babies when I'm driving around.

Jonna, I wish you could take them out more. Ours loves the beach, but we have more weeks of mild temps than you do down there.

We're at 73F with 85% humidity. The coastline fog burned off finally around noon, but you can still see it hovering out in the Bay currently. Now that the fog is gone, it's a clear beautiful "fresh" day. Perfect temp, warm Sun, and a light breeze from the NE.

A while back I didn't care for them, but they've grown on me.

Taking 3 dogs to the groomer is BIZARRE !!
Will stick to taking 2, and the other at another time.
Suffice to say, when I left the groomers, all 3 were HOWLING in their crates !!!

Wind is up here .. supposed to hit -35C/F overnight .. GAG ME !!!!!!!!!

Will share our 3 .. but you'll have to wait for a 'group photo" LoL

Marilynne -- I can SO relate to the craziness of taking all 3 of your pups to the groomer at one time; we once took both collies and both cats to the vet (for a routine visit, shots and so on) at one time, because they offered a discount for anyone crazy enough to bring more than 3 pets in at one time...

However... are you SURE all 3 photos aren't of the same one?? (which is also funny to me because people ask all the time, about our collies, "how do you tell them apart?")

Tarev -- people in Michigan are no longer allowed to drive around with dogs (or children... not sure which law cam first) in the back of a pickup. I have fond memories of doing just that... but can't remember if any dogs were with us!)

This made me laugh, too -- we took the collies down to the beach (Lake Michigan) one time; the younger one (Remy) followed DH out until he was barely able to touch the bottom, but the older one (Jack) turned around about the time the water hit his belly, as if to say "I believe you have me confused with a Labrador retriever!"

Had to turn on the a/c! I was doing house stuff and wrapping gifts and I got hot. Sure enough! It was 75 inside the house. Hauling the old carpet out of the house did not make me any cooler! Of course it was the humidity. 60%. IN the house!

Sandy, "mild panic and general sense of doom" Sounds about right. We had a freeze two years ago (I think it was), and they completely shut down South Padre Island Drive. No one could go anywhere, get anything done, or do anything at all. It was ridiculous. It was the slightest freeze. Luckily they opened it back up in the late afternoon when we warmed back up.

We have ziplock type things on the bedroom windows so we just snap plastic in. Easy peasy.

Don't wanna make you guys cry or scream, but, it is MINUS 30C = -22F .. flippin cold, and NO day off
Going to be a chilly day to go shopping, but, off we will go, dressed in layers, which is all likelihood will not come off til we are home ..

The Westie trio, puddles in the water .. guess it's their short legs that hold'em back .. Zoey is the most athletic and she will venture further from shore. One thing about the breed, they are extremely watchful of their humans .. and, it's quite a joke around here how they have chosen me as their leader, or, alpha .. I go anywhere, and 3 white furry bodies are following me .. wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm sorry, Marilynne ... did you say -22F?! Our entire life system would shut down. Everyone south of I-20 would probably keel over and die. Most definitely everyone south of I-10 would die. We just wouldn't make it. Lol.

It's 66F here again this morning. Another dense fog advisory (looks like more fog today than yesterday). High of 73F today with mostly cloudy skies.
