I think you should get both! Smiling

My honey thinks I am obsessed. I can only get so many before I might end up having an intervention. *Blush*

Intervention for me. I better be careful. He doesn't want to even visit the farms in Salem with me. I have been trying to narrow down what I want the most at Mid-America. My in-laws would love to accompany me to Salem this spring at least.

Just realized I do have one I bought for the name, Genealogy. I have been doing it since I was 17. Have been doing it professionally some in the 70s and 80s and since 1990.

Cool, Charlotte! (and that's the name of an iris). Genealogy is a fascinating area for study. I've traced
my family back a thousand years! ( but since I've had the iris virus I can't afford Ancestry.com
any more!).
If I have success with Cool Charlotte, planted last spring, I'll send you one! It's a lovely blue.

Hilarious!

That's really cool that you know so much about your history! I imagine some day I'll probably try to dig back into my family's history, but at the moment I have an aunt on my mom's side and an aunt on my dad's side that is really into that, which relieves me of the responsibility for the time being. Smiling

Jan ( @janwax ) , are you, by chance, related to whomever the salt company was named for/created by?

I don't think so, DogsnDaylilies. A t leastI haven't researched it.
Our part of the family,- Mom, Dad, - were just ordinary folk. Not much money, but
some education. I was the first to graduate from college. You'd think, with all those Lords and ladies, that there might just

Jan,

I am also a descendant of Richard Warren. Right off hand can't remember which child; Morton doesn't sound familiar. He is part of my mother's father's family. I work on my mother's mother's lines. The families came to the US in the 1850s and 1860s from England. I have parts of the family back into the 1500s. These days I work on descendants of my ancestors and have over 31,000 people on my tree. On her father's side we connect to some Royal lines so those go way back. My father was born in England and like you, I had an aunt who did a lot on those lines. Now one of her sons is responsible.

For pay I research in French-speaking areas, mostly Belgium and Quebec, some France. Also have done some in the Caribbean and Louisiana.

A question about your avatar: The other pictures of that variety in the database have more color. Which is more correct?

Thank you for the offer of Cool Charlotte.

Hilarious! You never know!...

I agree with Darcy, though; if there isn't, just consider yourself glad that you don't have to dust and sweep an entire castle! (...unless someone also left you the fortune it would cost to hire a full-time maid along with it!)

Cousin Charlotte, I think my photo of Coffee Shop shows the color accurately in my garden.
Looking forward to photographing it again this year.
