That's funny! I'd have said, "then y'all need to post more pics and try and keep up!"

Neal, that is the message the original poster was given. Deb's (Bonehead) response was about perfect. Smiling

Well, none of these are going to be in future "Tommy Boxes" Rolling on the floor laughing but with 600 or so I am sure I'll be able to fill some future boxes. Of course there might be some second generation boxes for those of you who got some of these and passed them on to others.

Arlyn and Tom -- can I pick your brains just a little bit more about the tractor stuff?

Tom -- you suggested a block heater. Arlyn also mentioned a block heater. I was especially interested in the magnetic one you mentioned, Tom.

So my question is this -- is there an advantage of the block heater over the electric dipstick? What I want most is NO PROBLEMS. When it's time for me to go out there and do my barnwork, I don't need any additional work in order to *get to* my work. See what I mean? So I'll get whatever I need to set myself up for problem-free.

Thanks for any advice.

Mary Ann, I've never used the dipstick heaters, but the idea is to warm up the engine block to make starting easier. The Dip stick I'm guessing just heats the oil, which would heat the engine block. The magnetic one would heat the engine block directly. Since you have the dip stick heater, I'd just use it and see if it works for you. If not, you can always do something different.

Well, thanks.. I didn't care too much about the Austin's.. My neighbors thought I should collect them because it's my last name as well... And I think Unicorn was the first Space Ager? But the Ghio seedling I was looking forward to seeing.. It's the parent of many in his striped and spattered line.

It's always the ones you want most that seem to loose it. How did you come by one of his seedlings?

That's why I was in such a panic, Janie. Last year I had to hand-shovel so much -- and I no sooner got the pathways cleared from the house to the garage, from the barn to the manure pile and from the barn to the shavings pile, then it snowed again. My back is no longer up to that kind of work -- and is one of the reasons that we got this tractor to begin with. I'm happy to report that it started right up yesterday without any intervention. Hurray! Lovey dubby

I'll be sooooooooooo happy if all we get is 2-3". We're being told more like 4-6"". Preceded by sleet and ice. Yikes!!!
