Hello everyone! I have been MIA for a while. So busy with the kids and right now I am on a two week vacation to Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head Island. I have 3 more days in Hilton Head before I go home. I was wondering if anyone knows of a nursery down here or between here and Myrtle Beach that sells succulents? I would love to get one to take home with me! That would be cool to have from my trip! I am on a little "mindfulness retreat" by myself and would love to have a plant that I could remember my trip with and the purpose for it. My plants are my therapy so adding another to my collection would be awesome!
So if anyone knows of a location that sells them, that would be wonderful help Crossing Fingers! Hurray! Thank You!

I have been going through the many photos of everyone's beautiful Semps and I am SO JEALOUS! They are all so lovely! When I get home I can not wait to start my outide gardening! Yet it has been very cold and it even SNOWED 2 days ago!!!! Thumbs down I hate to go home and leave this beautiful weather down south, to cold yucky weather. It makes me want to move so badly!!!!
Here are a couple photos of what I do have growing outside now.
And guess what I found in the woods again, where the previous owner threw her unwanted plants!?!?!?! Sedum! I believe it is Angelina? Please correct me if I am wrong :)

This is when I first found it. It's much more yellow and bright orange now. I have to take another photo of it now. The "leaves" are quite pokey.

And this is the other one I posted earlier, when I found it. It's getting quite big now. It's in full sun and is doing well with the transplant from the shade, but we have not had any super warm weather yet. It did get a little frost bite when we had another snow fall a few weeks ago Thumbs down
I still don't know what it is called?
See....getting a lot bigger but still dainty in my hand!

Hi Brea, it is so good to see you.
I'm not sure how far this is from you, but it sure looks like a fun place to spend a day. Bet you could find some there for a memory plant. Smiling

Hey Brea fun and safe travels! That first plant does look like Angelina (it is a rupestra type of some sort) Don't know the second plant - looks nice though! I tip my hat to you.

The 2nd one reminds me of Sedum sieboldii. I used to have one in a hanging basket, but I think our heat was too much for it.

Will dappled shade be OK, or do they need full sun?

Does dappled shade mean there's some sun? Whatever it is I would at least rotate the pot occasionally to get even growth and if semp noid does not look happy (don't wait till it makes appt. with shrink) take it out of the pot and put it in its own pot where you can put into more sun, if possible.

Those sedums look hardy type so that's good.
The thing with these mixed pots is that if something isn't making it, you don't lose everything; you just remove the unfortunate and place new victim, oops, I meant new team member, into its place.
Very nice purchase, Marilyn...coloring is great!

I agree looks like a lovely pot! I'd put it in as bright an area as possible, and it should do fine with whatever sun you have! There are several semps in the pot! Thumbs up Looks great

Very pretty Marilyn. It will be interesting to see if the semps do better for your growing conditions in this particular setting.
Yes Greg, I had to look again, there are several semp families in that bowl.

I picked up thundercloud at the end of the season last year. I cannot wait until mine gets as big and pretty as your plant. I am spraying early this year hopefully the deer and rabbits will not eat it.

Hello friends!!!!
I hope you are all doing wonderful! All of your plants look so beautiful.

I have a question. Can I put my tender succulents and sedum outside now that the weather is nice and warm? I don't want to "bake" any of them so any advice would be much appreciated. I just would like to have them get some sun and also enjoy them while on my deck. There is a mostly shady spot on my deck if I need to use that spot.
Thank you for your help! Thank You!

@tarev

Hi there Brea. Good to see you.
I would think that if chance of frost is over you could slowly introduce them to the sun outdoors. Start with a day or two in the protected area, then start giving them some morning sun and go from there.
