JoAnn, nice color echo there with the iris and heuchera! Did you plan that? Looks like one of those lovely surprises!

The surprise is the deer have left the heuchera alone. I planted it because I knew the iris was there and hoped for a nice ecko.
The Sweet Tea heucherella was moved a month ago. Last year trees were cut down and my nice dappled shade -part sun garden went to full sun. Sweet Tea was miserable in the heat.
The Black Currant heuch wad been there years.

David! Rolling on the floor laughing
If only I could still fit into the bell bottoms I tucked away! Hair, no problem. If I hadn't cut it all off I'd be there.

Jo Ann,
Last May was pretty! Love the dark Heuchera!
We also need a June and July picture this year.

Sally: I'll try to remember.
I had to reset my camera settings.
When I lost PICASA I lost the automatic sizing of images and deletion of files on the card.
The new editing programs I have are Elements from Photoshop ( havn't found a choice for "delete after uploading " or automatically resizing to a smaller image from my usual camera setting of 4000 pixles.

I will try to remember to take better and more images of that walk.

Jo Anne,
Mine don't automatically resize, but I use Irfanview. It's free, quick and easy.
Those huge pictures are nice, but try receiving them thru the mail....

Sally I know. I also have Infranview, just getting used to it.
The old editer Picasa would download all images to My Pictures folder.
When I exported the edited files they automatically resized to 800px. I kept the My Pix files in order to make banners for ATP.
Now I have to choose which images have a good prospect for a banner. I am sure I will figure out a way to keep camera settings and resize somehow.
Gene ,in sandbox or garden chat told me about Infanview. It is easy. I just need to get deeper into the tools.Only been a week.

I never understood, why, when something worked, someone thought they could make it better and ruin it....

Doing pictures on Windows 7 was easy. 10, I had to figure it out. I keep a shortcut folder on my desktop, but naturally it wants me to use Live Photo Gallery. I never did like it. If I try to turn a picture it goes upside down to right side up. My shortcut lets me turn it all 4 ways.

Jennifer,
A new slate to work with! How awesome!
And look at your healthy grass! Do you know what kind it is? Are you sharing a fence? I love it too.

The expansion was necessary to have some place for all the millions of new plants coming! I convinced my husband that it would make mowing easier, he acted like he bought it. But I'm sure he knows the real reason.

No, it is not a shared fence. This is just the fence that surrounds the pool area.

Not all the grass is nice. But we are using the nice sections to replace other areas of the lawn that need attention.

Jennifer,
Bwahaha. Gotta love your husband! But you are right, it will make mowing easier. I can't wait to see the plants you add! It still looks like you have a great yard, meaning you have a big lot.

I hear ya! We started with a 60' wide lot. Were lucky to buy the lot north of us and years later the lot to the south. Now I'm 180' across. But on the north and south it's different lengths because this block is laid out NE to SW instead of N to S like the rest of the town. But, I have my elbow room and this end is a quiet end. Neighbor kids N and S of me are quiet older kids. I've lived in town my whole life. DH too.

Pirl, I have 2 dogs that tend to keep rabbits away. Plus in early spring I put down some stuff called rabbit scram. But sometimes one of my dogs is worse on my garden. He chewed up a japanese maple down to stems. Then pulled out a lilac bush out of the ground that I planted last year. The lilac Is doing fine, the Japanese maple I had to replace. Grumbling
