Thanks I have been waiting for a few years for one of the Itoh to hit the clearance rack. They are normally 60 dollars so that made my day. Plus it was the yellow one I wanted most. Now waiting to see if one of the Hydrangea Everlasting Revolutions hits the rack.

Great buys David. I would go broke trying to plant out 9 acres.

And it has taken 2 1/2 years, but my patience, and persistence has finally paid off.
This one bloomed for me yesterday! Hurray! I think it was well worth the $2.00!

Tara :iagree:, well worth the wait. My clearance Dendrobiums from fall last year have buds now, I am so excited!

Thanks, Bob! I don't ever expect to win anything, but it sure is fun to find out you actually did! (I did having a winning ticket several raffles back, where most of the prizes weren't suitable for my zone - LOL - but I got some nice butterfly garden seeds which was perfect for me since I was already planning that project Thumbs up )

Had to hit Lowes for some project needs and of course chose the lawn and garden entrance with a big sign highlighting, $1, $3, and $5 discount plant racks. Not much special for me until I hit the back side of the racks. I found two daylilies I'd had and lost to weeds, 'Salieri' and 'Night Beacon'. At $3 I grabbed one of each and managed to also grab an $8 bee balm for $3 as well. Three healthy perennials under ten bucks. Smiling

Thanks! The timing couldn't have been better and an odd combination to find at the local box store. Maybe things are on the upswing?

For the prices, nothing wrong with these plants. I'll treat them right.

We were at Menards last evening looking for "hardware" for the grill hookup in the RV. (no luck on THAT score................). I told him I was going to wander out and see what they had for plants. Things are getting marked down by now. My eye spied a table with some yellow mandevilla............really nice plants for $9.97. I remembered my next-yard neighbor Peggy saying she would like one but didn't want to spend the money as they were quite expensive (for HER taste, anyway............LOL). She's watered my plants a few times this year for me when we were RVing so I picked the nicest one for her. Well, at the checkout it scanned as $7.97. What a deal! And they still have the 11% rebate going on for all purchases. So, Peg is getting a nice yellow mandevilla as payment for a job well done.

Here's a new rescue, a nearly dead Old Man cactus that was buried in compact, dry soil. It's actually alive, I'll see if it recovers.
