Ichabod had a mishap when I was gone. His head part blew away (oops). Maybe he went to visit Ruby? Anyhoo I'm SO not going to get Ichabod finished by the end of month.

I'm officially cancelling my scarecrow project. (I have checked the Great Book of Lists and I believe I have the official power). Methinks that when I looked at it after Ichabod's (my scarecrow) head blew away that indeedydo I might have been actually making the Headless Horseman who as we all know has HUMUNGOUS anger issues. So I aked my tru luv to put the skeleton in the recycle bin on his way through the garden tonight. I think it's ok to ask him to do this cuz he doesn't believe in the Legend of Sleepy Hollow (let alone the REAL story of Sleepy Hollow) I'm still on a mission to find Ichabod's head though cuz I don't think you're allowd to lose someone's head OH a very important tip for the Artistically Challenged thread....

End of Sepember and didn't get my scarecrow done, so instead I'm posting my Whitchy Witch that I made years ago. She keeps popping up in the oddest places so today I thought I should show her off.



I have so much plastic canvas I guess I better get back to making some things. A lot of people don't care for the plastic canvas but I got hooked when I wanted to use up a lot of yarn I had here. Didn't work out very good as I bought special yarn to work with.

Pegi: That is the most precious witch I've ever seen! I love it! I never learned how to do the plastic canvas thing. I have a napkin holder that my mom's friend made years ago ... it has flowers on each side and on one side she forgot to finish one of the flowers. I used to think I'd try to finish that one single bloom but have never gotten around to it. My sister in law used to do plastic canvas too and I have a basket she made years ago with flowers on either side. One of these days I might just take the time to learn about plastic canvas art.

What a cute witch Pegi, I hated doing the plastic canvas, So I got stuck with all that special yarn. Started using it with all my baby quilts I make for the 20 something great nieces and nephews that have been born.

I like to do plastic canvas, but got into other things (thanks to all these sites!!) so haven't done much in the last few years.. I made a couple baskets as gifts then wondered why I didn't make myself one. It is either get busy and do some creating or get rid of it. Still planning on doing mosaics though, have a lot of tiles, etc. to work with now.

Very Cute! I'll post my scarecrow late too...she's half finished and I see here everyday, calling to me.
