Oh Faye.. yes... they are all grown on my roof top.. the frst page has a night shot of the roof.. kind of hard to tell what's going on there... here's a better shot of the roof garden.. in some pictures... the front... the middle.. and the back of the roof in these three photos...
Well... there's a bit of an overview...
some will recover easer from cold... all will die back to the ground with prolong periods of below 32*F... how well they recover from the roots depends on the severty of the cold... and other microclime considerations.. wetness.. just how cold.. and ambient protection of the site.. few have much luck below zone 7.. zone 7 seems to be iffey.. I'm in zone 7.. as is mother in north alabama..I can overwnter things there.. I can't overwinter here in my containers.. as they freeze solid here... at mothers my brugs will usually return from the roots to flower...
no.. they haven't released the piece done by Sandi of her visit.. yet.. it will be featured here on ATP..
later in the year an intervew of me and the garden wll be posted to the net... as a part of a 60 person NY view .. titled something like I'm a New Yorker... I'm a gardener here for this piece... it will have a bunch of shots of the garden and their talk with me... I saw a few of the others started... one was this shoalin monk who started a center here... [ like kung fu on tv ] ... and a rabbi.. that plays / sings bluegrass.. I'll post that look at the garden... and no doubt... personal embarassment when it goes up on their new site..
