I have a couple outside that is blooming. I have windows open in the sun room that I guess I need to go close for the night but OH the smell of just 3 lousy open blooms coming in that window is absolutely heaven. This always reminds me why I suffer with taking them in then taking them out. cutting the back and watering twice a day.........................Just heavenly

These are the two blooming Charles Grimaldi then a noid.

And Monikers has buds on her...........one side then the other.

Gordon, how do you have such beautiful plants, and so many. And did I read you do roof top gardening? Is your gardening story posted somewhere? I would love to reed it. Anyway, super job on your beauties.
Are different Brugs hardy to different climates? Yeah, I'm a question box *Blush* just shows how little I know.

Well... there's a bit of an overview...
some will recover easer from cold... all will die back to the ground with prolong periods of below 32*F... how well they recover from the roots depends on the severty of the cold... and other microclime considerations.. wetness.. just how cold.. and ambient protection of the site.. few have much luck below zone 7.. zone 7 seems to be iffey.. I'm in zone 7.. as is mother in north alabama..I can overwnter things there.. I can't overwinter here in my containers.. as they freeze solid here... at mothers my brugs will usually return from the roots to flower...
no.. they haven't released the piece done by Sandi of her visit.. yet.. it will be featured here on ATP..
later in the year an intervew of me and the garden wll be posted to the net... as a part of a 60 person NY view .. titled something like I'm a New Yorker... I'm a gardener here for this piece... it will have a bunch of shots of the garden and their talk with me... I saw a few of the others started... one was this shoalin monk who started a center here... [ like kung fu on tv ] ... and a rabbi.. that plays / sings bluegrass.. I'll post that look at the garden... and no doubt... personal embarassment when it goes up on their new site..

What do the other occupants of your building think of you comandeering the majority of the roof for your plant addiction? Does anyone else have plants there? Would anyone else have ROOM??? Big Grin

I have deeded rights to all the roof.. which came with it's own price.. part is that I have to walk up an additonal flight a few times a day...after 20 years that's somewhere over 300,000 stepsover the third floor.. and 600,000 steps more than the seond.. [ treadmill time and gym membership is unnecessary..] considering all the 60 steps were traveled with everything on the roof on my back.. tons... talk about love...
plus any roof repairs are on me.. [ I've never had any in that time ]
and there was a small additonal buy in cost..
the million dollar view just comes with the territory..

Both or Noids that were given to me last fall by a dg'er who was claiming too much work for her. She since called me and asked be to send her cuttings (which I did send about 8) cause she wants to get back into them again. One summer and she couldn't stand it. Big Grin That would be me.................. Rolling on the floor laughing

(I know we're not suppose to use all caps, but this needs to be shouted.) Gorden thank you so much for the views that surpass awesome and the explanations too. Thumbs up Only fault I found in all of it, to short, not enough, but then who could get tired of beauty like that. Gordon I do admire your strength and endurance. You are an inspiration to me.
