Sometimes I think we get almost paranoid seeing spots, streaks, and other discolorations on our orchid leaves. I used to fret about every "abnormality" I saw, and with 100's of orchids, I saw a lot of them. I just remind myself that these are plants (often grown outdoors with Mother Nature, animals, and insects beating on them 24/7), and plants are not supposed to be "perfect". Whistling If an orchid is growing well and appears otherwise healthy, I just don't worry about imperfections any longer. There are more than enough problems in this world to worry about. Crying

Gigi, my Vandas are showing some spots, and also some really yellowing leaves. Blinking I'm thinking though, that I really like Ursula's response! Time to shop for more orchids! Thumbs up

I guess it is good I am not a plant epidemiologist. My perspective might be skewed then. Sticking tongue out

My Vanda leaves always have spots too. But when I was at Kawamoto's in December, all his Vandas had spots. I am over over-obsessing! But any excuse to buy a new orchid is okay by me...

Beautiful flowers guys!

If the forum moderator declares that we must need more orchids then as ( Was it Captain Kirk or Captain Jean Luc Picard said)...."Make it so!"
I've been going through my collection and wish list hoping to fill in some gaps in the color wheel.

Although my rescued Phals are just starting to bloom I thought I'd show them anyway and then post more photos as more of them bloom.

Thanks Tara, I can't wait until the other colors bloom. So far all I have is white but I'm pretty sure I still have at least one purple or lavender left.
I've still got 15 of the original 23 left so I don't think I'm doing too bad.
