Bonnie, we have had lots of rain this year. This was the final push that turned tiny fledgling fans to muck. Most had been compromised before the storm.

Leslie, I have Burnt Toffee, so I can get you some of that next summer. I also have Dark Crystal which grows like a weed. Plot Line is one that seems to rot no matter what the weather. Just seems to be susceptible to rot here.

Tom - I will take you up on the Burnt Toffee and Dark Crystal.

I may have lost Rare Find as well as Plot Line. Think I will try both of those again because they were lovely in bloom. Good to know Plot Line has had problems for others as well. I may need to find the driest garden to put it in, or add a lot of sand. Since I need to create a dryer/better drained spot for Sand Dancer and Eye to Eye, I could add it to that section of the garden. The red of Plot Line would be beautiful next to Sand Dancer.....hmmmmm.

Leslie, check with me next year on these:
Dark Crystal
Pep Rally
Burnt Toffee
Plot Line
Rare Find

Plot Line isn't doing too well either, but I have 2 pieces of it. One is in the ground and the other is in a 5 gallon pot. Let's see which does better...

Rob - how does your Rare Find stand up? Is it a good grower usually?

I got it last year and it seems to be doing well. It's (still) currently in a 5 gallon pot and it's happy. Both of my Plot Lines were treated for the spongy death and they are making a come back.

Lost the main fan of Clotho's Web. Sad Fortunately the giant mother rhizome is still firm and it has at least 10 little increases along the side. I will keep and eye on it for sure.

Leslie - Once a few days pass and you get a better idea on what's been lost, can you please post a list.
I also have Plot Line, it's a newbie. It's growing very slowly with no signs of increase but if it sprouts babies in the Spring you are welcome to a piece.

I have been posting by each garden I get done cleaning. By this weekend I will have a list from the large bed that Plot Line was in. Some iris in there are enormous (talking about you Enter The Dragon) and some are leafless potatoes (Puff The Magic). Guess nature is winnowing out the bad growers for me. I need to dig a ditch through the garden too so the drainage will be better. I think Plot Line was in an area with too much overwash during heavy rain, and we had lots of rain this year.

Thanks Elsa. Not until spring/summer at this point. I will make a note to remind you. I have a lot of clean up still to do from Matthew before I get more planted.

Lilli - one of my "potatoes" now has two increases! And it is one of my dragons - Puff The Magic! I was so unsure it would pull through. Unfortunately I still have many potatoes to inspect. Thumbs down
