Well, Bonnie, at least they left half for you so they didn't take it all. Confused Does that meant they broke half a commandment???

Lol, Tom. Can I break half of their neck?

I do share with everyone. If someone makes a comment I offer and often give them the job of scurrying down a hillside to do the digging. Everyone knows that I share plants, pot extras for plant sales for various orgs and freebies at garden talks at the library. So, sneaking about and taking what you want should not bother me right? Being generous doesn't mean it's okay for others to just help themselves to what belongs to others. Now I feel nervous, I have been sick and there was a loud noise in my backyard a couple nights ago. Flashlight time I guess. I am feeling a lot better, if not my honey was going to take me to the clinic today.

"If you live in where rainfall is naturally low, or where limestone is abundant in your soil, you'll likely need to take steps to lower your soil's pH. Usually, the best product to use is 100 percent finely ground sulfur, a mined mineral. Sometimes called "flowers of sulfur," this is the same material that gardeners use as a fungicide and is the material this calculator is based upon." (a quote from the calculator site on sulfur.)

the fungicide part is something that i alluded to on an earlier post because my father used it on our dogs as well as on his garden. could sulfur be part of the solution for rot? as well as the comet and surgery?

thank you nga, i learn sooo much everyday with exploring different forums, and pressing random buttons such as the one for calculator. Smiling

Sounds perfectly fair to me!

Hope you feel better, Niki!!! Group hug

I have never used sulfur in my garden (or on the dog!), so I have no idea... Confused

on the dog, it was used for a fungal infection; the sulfur was mixed with crisco. Hilarious! but it didn't smell good, so the dogs didn't try to lick it off. nodding Big Grin

Little Vixen has gone away. First the leaves grew old and came off without producing new ones and eventually the rhizome began to shrivel up like an old potato. Now it is just a limp, dry piece of old plant material. Sad

I lost the mother rhizome of Menehune Crying It lifted out nicely from the remaining 2 increases so I didn't have to disturb their roots. I'm hoping they will make it. I really wanted to see that one bloom.

You may have to wait a year Liz. Sad Glad the increases don't look to be affected.

They'll come back even stronger. I lost awesome Alex's mother and gain three increases.

Bolder Boulder's bloom stalk got cut yesterday. Glad I caught it mushy inside the foliage in time before it went to the rhizome. One issue with newly cut fans are not all scab and close. Water will sit stagnant and you lose your bloom which I was hoping would wait till next year. Several increases though and a clean cut and cleaning.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!
