@MISSINGROSIE Sounds like your Pee Wee and my chicken, Bunny, suffered the same fate. Years ago at Easter I received a baby chick (it was popular then). I named him Bunny, after all, it was Easter. Surprisingly, Bunny survived and grew into a rooster, who would sometimes roam the neighborhood. One day Bunny disappeared. That night, we had fried chicken for dinner. I didn't have a clue. Finally, when I was about 40 years old, my mother confessed that we had eaten Bunny!

I raised Pee Wee after he showed up at our house in Fort Lauderdale. He loved spaghetti.
My father would eat anything.. this was no mountain man. He came to america at age 7.. Lived in the " italian" (poorest) sections of Chicago and NY ( this was 1907 and beyond) .. He did move to upstate NY as a young man...but my point being..he did not grow up living off the land ... hunting to survive. My mom said once he brought her home a squirrel to cook up...he roared when he found it in a sitting in a pot swimming in veggies with its fur coat still on.

The burned chicken and marshmallows on sticks! Any long stick you could find.
Always that surprise as you carefully get your marshmallow perfectly brown and it burst into flames!!
I never did learn the string games and I bought myself a jump rope years ago! Haven't used it yet...
I used to sail up too. We would play high jump at school and I went pretty high. We had a cut off stump we used as a lift off. I felt pretty light back in 5th grade. Well, I was.

It was more than being light..it was a willingness to cast our fate to the winds AND strong quads..not spoiled by years of neglect!

Well ..searched on the net and found cartoons they could watch ..they and me LOVED it!

only thing is I never could find the right version of mighty mouse ..and the right song. I did not look all that hard because Casper was a BIG winner. Little Audrey too.

And. While I am thinking about it..I went to find an image of a girl jumping out of a birthday cake to send to my son in law ..... DO NOT type in HOT GIRL in your search engine. It was shocking! I am not easily shocked. Someone told me there is a way to search G rated images and not show adult content ..I have to look that up and adjust this iPad

That is so cool! I love it when kids like something I liked when I was a kid. I remember watching Mighty Mouse, but not a lot. I think it was on earlier than we got up. I used to get so mad if I missed the Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Hour. Remember the excitement of Saturday morning cartoons? All day cartoons and we were allowed to watch them. It was pure Heaven!

I am no prude but ...honestly...if I am using my iPad ( especially without my glasses ) there is NO WAY I EVER want that stuff opening up so close to my face. I don't know how it can be legal on a search engine like google. There needs to be a hard core porn search engine RESERVED for it so that it does not get mixed in ....the thought of the kids having that stuff flash up ..jeeze...all those parts...

Loved Mighty Mouse...my husbad showed some to Domenic (4) and he loved it...said the other day he wanted mighty mouse to come to his school and turn it around so his class faced the playground

Wasn't a fan of the Jetson's but loved and still do the Flintstones...not so much for Casper either Lassie was a special favorite
