We had a weekly show after school called Capt. Ernie's Showboat. It was live, so no recordings of it. They showed Wally Gator, Touche Turtle and Dum Dum, Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har. Loved Popeye! Didn't see Casper a lot. Heckle and Jeckle a bit old for me and LOVE/LOVED the Jetsons!!
I didn't watch Lassie either till I was older. Thank goodness for re-runs!

Well, my daughter said it was my own fault..( it was ) the " safe search " was turned off in the image search area. I did turn it off..I was looking for an image of a girl climbing to the moon and I could not find one I liked and so I turned it off...THINKING I was telling the engine that it was OK to look at sites where the virus screen could not certify...



Oh.well it is back on! I wonder how all those photos are sorted..

The great prizes in crackerjacks...now paper...the ton of peanuts...now5 if you are lucky...the caramely sticky stuff on the corn is now a spray....

Chocolate licorace sticks were chocolaty..and flexible...now they snap and hardly any flavor ..

Hersheys kisses were soooooooooo creamy and woukd stick tomthe roof of the mouth
M and M's did too melt in the hand
And wax lips and nails and harmonicas could be chewed and chewed and now bust into plain wax shards in ones mouth

Bazooka bubble gum...was chewy and the flavor lasted more than 30 seconds and it was BIGGER

Even THAT has changed! Where did the 28 wash rinses go! All I see is permanent. Damn, they last so long that a mistake in a color choice could be my dyin' shade
