Its description about the fragrance being pleasantly sweet is what led me to believe it maybe Lan Xian Nu. This is the second year it has bloomed. Not sure if the blooms will get fuller when the tree is more established.

I think my Rockii noid looks closest to the one from Cricket Hill. My Noid starts out with a pink touch but fades to all white after a few days. Maybe it is just a generic Rockii seedling of a named cultivar. Though when I bought it, the plant was actually grafted onto a herbaceous root so that led me to believe that it might be a named cultivar. Well, whatever it is, it has the most delightful scent of all the peonies that bloomed this year. I hope that it will have the same pleasant scent next year. As you know with peonies, not all scents in peonies are pleasant and their appeal varies from year to year. So I guess I will have to wait and see.
