I am grumpy because in So Fla and it is windy and cold!

Grumpy because my cough won't just go away. I'm hoping it's the 6 week cough in which I only have a week or so left but it's irritating and makes it hard to keep up with liquids since anything cold makes it worse.

It has been at least fifteen years since I have been to a snowmobile oval race and never to the Eagle River Derby which is the big one.
I doubt I will make it this year but I still may catch a race a track seventy miles from here, fingers crossed.
I used to do it from the paddock with a press pass but I will gladly sit or stand with the huddled masses also.
I am going to go to the big 500 mile one up at the Sault in Mich. even if they just scatter my ashes there.

RpR...........my son is doing a fireworks show at Eagle River on the 21st, We might go along, I don't know yet. An awful long drive from the Wis-Illinois state line up to Eagle River. LOL

That's not too bad. Like going from here to North Austin/the hill county, or from here to Galveston. You should go. Enjoy yourself!

I am grumpy this morning because when we got up, it was 32 degrees outside. We are stuck here in AR until the middle of the month because of medical appointments and we should have been in FL since the middle of December. I'm just hoping the snow and ice we are expecting the end of the week will be long gone by the time we are ready to leave.

Grumpy here because it is single digits and we have a milking job tonight and tomorrow morning. Yuck.

Grumpy because the extra cold is back.

Jean, I LOVE..LOVE...LOVE...Deland and this was Monday after New Years and most shops opening Tuesday. STILL managed a few shops and HOMEMADE ICE CREAM ... I will go back to get a view from the inside instead of a nose pressed against a window

@MISSINGROSIE Did they still have the huge nutcrackers on the corners downtown? I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of them the last time we were down there during Christmas. There was a dusting of snow this morning but it was enough to make the roads slippery so we won't be going anywhere today. We are in the Ouachita mountains so that makes driving risky.

YES they were there and the prettiest wreaths that looked just perfect like it was 1950's ....sparky red glass balls in those. Very pretty. Just sorry the town was mostly on vacation
