actually, I forgot a couple that went into the fairy garden... two Lewisia (hot pink & pale pink from Rainbow Mix) and a pink baby's breath

edited because I also forgot the Fuschias... three 4"pots, 2 pink/white and 1 with variegated (!!) leaves that I intend to put together, possibly with a 'Florida Sweetheart' caladium bulb.

I hope we get some rain and the barometric pressure soon returns to somewhere nearer to normal, this constant joint pain is for the birds.

Sorry, Ric. My mom is having trouble with it, too.

Yes, I did forget the Baptesia! Thanks; I need to make a label for it after I check the variety name, which is something like "stupendous" or "luscious." LOL Terri spotted it -- it has the most gorgeous dusky purple bloom. Oh, and I also forgot the Hydrangea 'Pinky Winky'. Those were both ones I snagged when we realized we had room for one more cart-full in the car. (I really do have mad skills.)

He is having a really bad day. Pain levels kept him from sleeping last night, he took his pills this morning and went back to bed. Hopefully he will get some sleep today.

I am trying to update my plants list. I want to move my Journal from ODG so I started with an updated list of my Climbers and Vines. I set the Category as Clematis & Other Vines. I would like to do the next category as Irises but can't find where / how to put in a new category. Are any of you using this feature.

I was actually starting to move my stuff over as well and hadn't quite figured out how to separate for ease of finding. I'll be interested to hear if anyone else has suggestions.

Thumbs up I tip my hat to you.

I had so much fun at the arboretum sale! White's Nursery people were there again and I got myself another deciduous azalea. This one will be kept in a container, so no chance of rot or phytophthora with this one. Btw, the woman from White's knows Paul really well. He's even having his engagement party at her house!

Well, in addition to the Arboretum sale, I made my obligatory trip down the street to the DC Costco -- where they sell alcohol! I was good and got only six bottles of wine. Big Grin One of them is for the swap, so I really only bought 5 for myself. Rolling on the floor laughing

The couple in front of me bought 4 cases of beer and around 60 bottles of wine. And some soap, of course. Rolling on the floor laughing

Group hug Ric Group hug it's the downside of "April Showers" for sure. Hopefully the sun will come out to play this weekend and so will Ric!

Chantell, love your goodie box! The plant at the top left looks like a bouquet, it's so compact and bloom-filled! Is it a gardenia? Also, inquiring noses want to know if that's a pelargonium under it, and what it smells like...

Ric, I hope you are feeling better soon.

Holly and Chantell, I use the Plant Lists feature extensively. I think I use more categories than I've seen anyone else do, but it works for me. I have a category set up for each garden, one for each acquisition year, one for pass-along plants, and one for plants that didn't make it. The nice thing about the Plant List feature is that you can tag a plant to multiple categories. There are already categories built in to the tool for the different kinds of plants, so I didn't create any for those - for example I can filter by clematis, but that doesn't meet the need for Holly wanting to include vines in general. I like that with one click I can filter my list for what I have in the Turtle Garden, the Fern Bank, the different areas of my Hillside Shade Garden, etc... , or with another click I can filter my list for everything I acquired in any given year. I kind of cringe when I filter on the plants that didn't make it LOL.

Jill, Meghan, and I certainly had a wonderful day last week. My list of plants is pretty long too - you can't imagine how full that SUV was. Jill certainly is the master at plant packing!!! Meghan probably thought we were crazy when we got our haul loaded and then realized that we could actually squeeze in a little bit more. We both looked at each other with a grin and headed back in to the nursery Rolling on the floor laughing The selection and the prices were fantastic. I'd head back there in a heartbeat.
