I wish I could get back out in the garden again today, but after the last 2 days of good working my hands are so trashed all I'm probably going to accomplish is making dinner for friends tonight. Even typing is extremely uncomfortable.

Overinflated prices from local businesses only! Which is a huge contradiction; I get most of my stuff from Amazon Prime I will probably end up getting my Italian Cypress from my backyard contractor ;)

I'm hoping to get some summer bulbs in the ground today, and potting up mini succulents this weekend - neither acquired at a big-box store!

Now it is time to drink more coffee and argue with my robot vacuum - yes, I argue with Bob, the Robo-sweep!

Hey Beck, How does your Robot vac work? I have been playing with the idea of one. Ric says it will drive Alfie crazy and I hate to pony up the $$$ only to find out that it does a so-so job.

The critters are not fond of him, he has a mind of his own and he keeps the worst of the fur at bay...which means I only have to drag the big vacuum out once a week - he doesn't do well on high pile shaggy carpet, gets stuck - he insists on vacuuming where he gets stuck, and he does not listen when I tell him he will get stuck...Bob is nowhere near as expensive as the Roomba - there are quite a few to choose from - and places, like Groupon, Amazon, Overstock etc.

@HollyAnnS - yeah, what @Becky_No_UK_AL doesn't tell you is that she's really an 'in the closet' Walmart shopper I'm sure she bought 'Bob' from Wally World. Hmph - shopping snob...I just don't think we can remain friends any more.

We have all hard floors with a very low pile area rug in the living. My floors don't get vacuumed every week as it is. Usually it is vac them or plant them before I break down and do them. Right now they are terrible especially the rug. Jamie's family stayed here for 2 weeks while we were gone. They didn't exactly leave me a mess to clean up but their adorable but shedding husky was here and the floors and the glass doors are really bad. We got home last Sunday and I have been running since and have just been ignoring the issue.

What issue, if it rains too hard to be yardening, then we can clean inside.

I'm with RIc If God wants me to clean, it will rain.

We had a retired robotics engineer visit the library, he loves his field of robotics, clearly, and seemed to find his roomba very charming. I could just picture him analyzing it, yet drawing a little face on it too.

This company, who makes BobSweep, treats him like a tiny little person ;)
