The lighting in your most recent pics shows the irises beautifully, Mary Ann. I tip my hat to you.
Must have been an early or late choice of sunshine?

Beautiful pics! We have had so much rain that the ferry may have to close down. The river was high today when I crossed. I trimmed several of my iris between rains today. I am hoping I don't lose several to rot Angry

Hi Brad -- good to see you back here. Hope you had a blast out west! Green Grin!

Yes -- I had a goodly amount of bloom -- especially considering how bad the rot is this year. I've lost several more after the bloom, though. Sad I'm in the process of cutting stalks, pulling dead/dying leaves, weeding and trimming back the leaves. It's a good thing because the rhizomes (in the Nursery beds) can get some sunshine and fresh air -- but it's a sad thing to see how many gave up the ghost. It's the first time I've ever had Irises self-destruct -- the massive increases from last year caused such a crowded condition that it aided the rot. Sad I haven't pulled any rhizomes though -- I'm hoping that improved growing conditions will allow them to resurrect. We'll see.........

Sad to hear Mary Ann. Been very bad in the eastern part of the country for irises this year.

Hi Brad!!! Been enjoying the new pics you have been posting. Trying not to add ALL of them to my wish list.

I had a great time can always count on Mr Keppel and Mid America to get my Iris fix in Smiling

It has been a tough spring here as well, we looked great until the end of April and heavy rains and heat brought on a mix of soft rot and something else that I can't ID yet my leaves almost overnight developed a brown streak on the sides of the leaves and plants started falling over and rotting. The timing couldn't of been worse hundreds of stalks fell over within days, Probably the worst season I have ever had and very few things bloomed here. I have lost so many to rot will be happy to get out of this season with half of what I started with.

Brad,

So sorry to hear of your losses. It makes my heart hurt. Were your seedling as badly hit as well?
