Such Lovelies. I can see some Munson influance in those eyes. At least I think I can Big Grin I am trying to make myself ID some of the characters of a bloom to possible parents.

I really liked seeing the photo of REGENCY HEIGHTS. Our club just had John Rice as a speaker and he mentioned that REGENCY HEIGHTS was a parent in most of their new diploid intros. I can see why. It's gorgeous!

Thanks!
As you see, I didn't put the names on some, as I am having a time of it connecting the photos to the plant.
For next year, I have to figure out how to get the name on the photo immediately when I take it. So many look very similar to one another. Yikes!

Janice I sure agree with you about writing the names on the photos right away, otherwise it can sure get confusing. Confused Blinking Shrug!

Janice, if you have labels, take a photo of the label first, then the daylily. Works like a charm. I have even seen a friend write the name on a little notepad, take a photo of the notepad, the the daylily. He does nit have visible labels that are easy to see to photograph.

I just posted some plant photos last night that I took at a nursery in 2008. I took a photo of the nursery's display tag, then the plant. So, when I was posting, I even had the Latin names etc.

Out of habit, I do it the opposite direction, plant/bloom first, then the tag. In garden without tags like my Mom's, I carry a notepad or scrape of paper and do quick scribble as I take shots.

I do it in that order too, for no particular reason. Whatever makes sense to the photog, I guess.

Cool story about 'Grandpa' Debra.
Fred Gwynne (Herman Munster) used to live near us. He used to come into the garden center I worked at when I was in my early 20's. He was such a nice man.

Oh my gosh!! Drooling I was browsing the Database this morning and creating a have and want list. I found a daylily that rung a bell, it was, 'Mapping Pennsylvania'. I got this as a small bonus from Marietta's and had no idea till now, what a fabulous daylily it really is.
This is the best thread I have seen yet, the pictures are gorgeous and I saw quite a few that I just planted. I love to see what they will look like and the rest ended up on my wish list. Never saw so many beautiful Daylilies in one place!!
You guys are top enablers and BTW, I think ATP has the best daylily database I have ever seen!! Just trying to pry my fingers off this keyboard. Whistling

I just planted RACHELLE AGIN, got it as a special weekly bonus from Maryott's. Is BELLE COOK a good bloomer? Thanks again for sharing, they are all beautiful. Lovey dubby

I don't know whether BELLE COOK is a good bloomer or not. I planted it late this spring/summer and had one scape with absolutely gorgeous blooms, but no rebloom. Of course, it might have helped if I'd fertilized it...
