Oh! What's that?! ....oops...
Here's one for y'all.
It was early spring this year. Right before the end of our frost season. I was outside, rain, cold, and putting in our underground soaker system I was going to use for my veggie garden.
I forgot that our dear friend's bridal shower was that afternoon. I rushed inside to grab a jacket and forgot my boots were still on.
I showed up at that house smelling like all kinds of mud and muck. Had the muddy shoes to prove it.
lol poor bride.
(this is our best couple friend too. Just to make it better)

well at least she liked her gifts. lol *Blush* I tip my hat to you. Rolling on the floor laughing
Lord please let this seed not be a weed!

This was a fun read.
I just took a picture of one of my gardening shoes I threw out. The other is lost, may be outside somewhere that the dog dragged it. They were brown slip ons, maybe ten bucks at Payless twenty years ago. Sure got my money's worth.
Plant it and they will come.

I like my tan oxford work shoes. I've worn them enough times that they fit my feet comfortably, and don't care if they get wet, and don't mind an occasional wiping with cheap neutral liquid shoe polish. It wears off fast enough.

I once worked in a lab, and standard attire was tennis shoes. Since I always got up to take the dog for a long walk, then be in to work by 6:30am, I was often tired. It wasn't until I was walking in the front door one day that I noticed I had on 2 different tennis shoes. Luckily only one person noticed, and we had a good laugh over it.

All this shoe talk reminds me of my most favorite shoes ever...REAL wooden shoes. Got them when I was pregnant with Alex and finally had to part with them when he was about 3 or 4. I wore them ALL the time. It was a very sad day when I could no longer repair the holes in the soles with more cardboard and glue.

One night at work I kept smelling a bad smell. It was slight and it didn't really bother me. But it was like a dirty diaper. And it needed to be changed! I looked on the bottom of my shoe. shrug. It's the first thing you do, right?

Nothing on my shoe so I started looking around. I noticed my co-worker was wearing boots. That was odd. She doesn't usually wear boots. They were her riding boots. She has horses. Yes! HORSES! I looked carefully at the sole of her boots. Yep. I spied a tid bit of horse pie peeking out from one of the edges. I am sure she was nose blind to it.

Hey if you want to wear riding boots, elsewhere, you GOTTA make sure they aren't tainted *Blush*

This all makes me think of the movie Shawshank Redemption... "how often do you look at a man's shoes?" I do, since the movie, at least more than I would have.
Plant it and they will come.

I often look at a man's shoes and will notice right away if they are not clean, polished and well-cared for. Besides that, men's shoes are boring and practical or shocking and obnoxious that makes you shake your head. It's much more fun to look at women's shoes!

While you're looking down for the shoes, I also see if their pants are hemmed to the right length. We have some high tech workplaces, and you'll see young techy-professional guys with pants too long. Sticking tongue out
I see people with very ill-fitting shoes, and just don't know how they can stand it.
Plant it and they will come.
