I think it is Bess Bockstace. I bet I got it from Swenson Gardens. It didn't bloom its first year but now this year looks really nice with several blooms. Nice fragrance too! It has been hot and humid and she doesn't seem to care one bit. I love that. A bit of raiin too and she is still standing. What a lovely pink.

Rose Heart was a Bockstace/ Landis peony. From pictures, they don't look the same. Does anyone have Rose Heart from a reputable source? The deep rose inside would be lovely if it is as striking as photos I have seen. I
Suppose the two could be sister seedlings.... Same hybridizer and all.

I have both but don't remember where I ordered Rose Heart from so can't attest to how reputable the seller is. I got Bess Bockstoce just a couple of years ago, definitely 2 different blooms. Here's a pic of the bloom with faded edges but it's from several years ago.
Thumb of 2016-05-27/LizinElizabeth/3ea6ae

The pics I took last year were from too early in the bloom life to see the fading. It was horribly bent from our Mother's Day weekend blizzard so I put a peony ring on it really late to get it off the ground, not the best peony display ever....

This is my Bess Bockstoce from last year. It was taken the same day it opened fully so you can tell how much lighter it is than Rose Heart. Got it from Swenson's.

Rose Heart is ready to pop this year.

Hi everyone, I had ordered peony from Bannister garden last year, I did let some of the first year bud blooms to see it's true to name.
Suppose to be " Salmon Glory", but I don't think it's the right one
Thumb of 2016-05-27/huang049/77673a

This one suppose to be " Spiffy", it's nothing like the picture online

Any one have any ideas???

Spiffy definitely doesn't look right. Salmon Glory might be, you'll need to let it open all the way before judging. That's one that I've seen lots of color variation on between the sellers and in the APS database. Mine got hit by frost this year, again, and won't be blooming, again.....hopefully yours is right. I know a lot of us ordered from their retirement sale last year.....

Yes, I compare my Salmon Glory with LG's, it's color looks lighter, and the flower form is different too. I'm still waiting Do Tell to bloom see is the right one or not, I will post pictures when it's bloom.
Lucky is blooming, also from Bannister last year.

Finally, the northern peony flowers are opening. All pics are beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Hurray!

Alex, thank you. Here are the pics of Snow Lotus from yesterday. Love Snow Lotus. By the way, you are welcome to visit and see it in person. I live in the Upper Beaches area. I am organizing a local "open garden" event.

Snow Lotus opened first several days ago, and the Guardian has started opening yesterday. You can see that Snow Lotus has some "frostbites" on the second flower (in the middle.)

Alex,

I love Snow Lotus, but there is something about Hoki... It was the first TP that I planted when I moved in. Love the contrast with green leaves. It cannot go unnoticed when in bloom. I am so sorry that Hoki lost almost half of its buds due to the snow and frost this year but I hope it will be better next year. I also hope you will forgive me for posting 5 pictures of the same peony. I just love it.

Thank you Karen.

Nothing can be compared with blooming TPs. They don't call them "kings of flowering bushes" without a reason.

Thank you Jasmin for your kind invitation, I'll send you a tree-mail. Those flowers are outstanding and I'm considering buying or raising them from seeds and grafting options :). I'll post my friends TP picture tomorrow. Actually, here they are.

Thanks, Liz.
I like it too, it probably will do good with cut flowers too, it last for a whole week in our 80 plus degree weather, under full sun.
