What a fantastic look and the Biggest Thank You to you, Dave and your family for making this site available to us all. This brings a lot of like minded individuals together and keeps the Passion of Gardening alive.

I still think we needed a more "international" name so that we don't lose our worldwide appeal.

Or maybe a note on the banner "all nations welcome" ?

I had ATP bookmarked, do I need to update that bookmark in Firefox to garden.org? When I leave this website and later go to my bookmarks to come back it opens up in the last thread I was on, not on the homepage. Is that because my bookmark is still for ATP, or is Firefox being weird, or is it me?

Like the new name! So glad you didn't revamp the whole website because I think it's great. And I'm easily confused when a site does a complete make-over.

Just a note that this is just Phase 1 of our transition- a new server and merging the two sites to one location.

Which, by the way, how awesome is our Dave for doing a complete merge without a moment of downtime?!?!?!
Still putting tech teams to shame Green Grin! (I digress)

However, there WILL be changes coming to the look/feel/layout of our new NGA. With the merging of two gigantic sites, change is inevitable. However, we will (as always) do our very best to make these changes easy, useful, and for the good of the community. Thumbs up

Confused

Can you please explain how ATP has been integrated with what appears to be an Association which I know nothing about, apart from this:

http://www.garden.org/about/

It doesn't feel like anyone from outside the 'nation' now belongs. Will people from outside the 'nation' still be able to contribute to the plant database? And if they can, will the NGA not approve of 'foreign' contributions because they do no belong to the 'nation'?

I too feel that 'National' seems limiting.... I hope nobody from outside of the USA will feel inclined to sign off.

National Gardening Association

One definition I found for the word "National":

~ Of or relating to a nation; common to or characteristic of a whole nation. ~

In my mind, the name "National Gardening Association" isn't really limiting because gardening is related to all nations, everywhere.
